Posts: 1996 Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | There are a lot of very good lines out there, I think I have used most of them. In the past I steered toward Power Pro, but as of late I have been changing most over to Spider Wire Stealth. I like that line alot, it is very durable, cast very nice, and holds very little water.

Fireline (original) is in fact not a braid. The filaments are fused as opposed to woven or braided. Best line? No such thing, only personal preference. Vicous and Spiderwire Stealth in 100#. For everything.

Posts: 572 | After a similar topic last year, I tried Cortland Masterbraid in 80lb test. It seemed to cast smoothly with little wear. The few backlashes were easy to get out. Musky Tackle Online is a good source for the line.

Posts: 89 | Last year I used Cortland Masterbraid in 80lb test. I also used Suffix performance braid also and really liked that. It will be either one of tose on my Luna when I get it back from being fixed.

Posts: 774 Location: South East Wisconsin | I used Cortland Spectron (80lb) for years. Then switched over to PP (80lb), which I currently use and I like it. However I hear Cortland Master Braid is suppose to be real good.

80 lb. Cortland Bronzeback mainly with one reel having Spiderwire Stealth Camo that was put on the line for free when I bought the Revo Toro. It seems to be pretty good line.

Posts: 2894 Location: Yahara River Chain | I like Cabela's Ripcord or Cortland. With power pro when I have a backlash, I have to sit down with a line pick to get it out. With the other two, I rarely need a line pick, just need to yank on the line and most times its free. If not I can use my fingers and get it free then.
