Posts: 1185 Location: Wishin I Was Fishin' | Wondering what keeps you busy through the long winter. It's ice fishing for big pike and a few walleyes, maybe a family snowmobile trip up north with some ice fishing negotiated in. End of March and April it's Steelhead on the flyrod. I will be working on the musky club stuff more, Milwaukee Musky Show and New London Musky Magic. Only problem is these don't help get my mind off of muskies. Ya I know you Southerners don't have a closed season, but I don't need you to rub it in. My current projects that I'm procrastinating right now are putting the trolling boat away, refilling the wood room, and I will be getting ice fishing gear ready this week.

Posts: 32890 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Three muskie shows and the Madison Expo from opening to close; of course that's work for me, but it's good work. LOTS of ice fishing, we are contracted to shoot 30 videos this winter. I'm going to specialize on jigging game fish in the first batch, I think. Deer hunting until tagged out or Jan. 3 comes. Snowshoe hunting if the snow allows, we don't have a beagle and need to be able to move around easily in the swamps.

Posts: 295 Location: Southern Ontario, Detroit River and Lake StClair | Do some ice fishing to fill the freezer with dinners so during the season I don't have to and can spend my time chasing more important fish. Besides that I spend a lot of time in the field with my pet .22-250 chasing Coyotes and fox which helps pay for my summer expenses fishing Muskie. Then to top it off I'll make a few of my big (12"-14") trolling baits when I have time. Basically it all still revolves around Muskie fishing in one way or another. Good Fishin' Tim

Posts: 1663 Location: Kodiak, AK | I tie and build rods. I try to get my shelf stock built up so when orders come in during the fishing months I'm not spending that time tying. I'll be on the Equator for a couple of months starting in a three weeks, then back to get the boat ready and everything else in order for next year's season.

Larry ... our business is located just north of the airport in San Jose just up the hill from Carriari area in Global Park. i also spend a lot of time in the melon fields up in Liberia and Guanecasta. i'm going back and forth now but once mid january hits will be down there 3 weeks out of the month. i stay at the Double Tree Carriari when i'm there and hope to venture out to do some fishing next year. i'm traveling throughout the Caribbean and Central America and would love to do both the peacock bass and the tributary tarpon thing. the offshore marlin thing sounds expensive and like something i wouldn't be as fired up about. jason ... flights are cheap and you can crash with me.
