It's starting to dawn on me that the season is really drawing to a close. I'm taking the afternoon off tomorrow to get out, and am also getting out there Saturday and Sunday. The weather should be great. Not sure if I'll get out again after this weekend, but I'm going to try.

How many more times will you get out this year? Are some of you already done?

What the hell are you doing in Iowa? When did this happen? Is Jeremy okay? What about Slamr?

I got laid off last November, and couldn't find work, found a job here in Des Moines, since I'm originally from Iowa, I moved back. Slamr is very 'ronery', I'm sure, but he'll find other people to constantly tell him he's doing things wrong. I bought Jeremy's Tuffy, and brought it to the land of Corn and Pigs. Headed up to Preston, MN with Jeremy this weekend for shotgun Deer season! Should be interesting, Deer Hunting, Team RumbleKnott Style!!!!

Wow, I'm out of touch. Too much time spent on land I guess. Good for you, Mike, I hope things work out for you. I bet IL Bud Lights feel safe, while IA Buds are taking a beating.

I'm done for the season. In fact I may be done for good. Got laid off back in June, burned through my savings, girlfriend wants a ring... Did some freelance work for my former employer over the summer, but they haven't paid me in a few months. Not sure if/when they WILL pay me, in fact. Bad for me, good for you guys. Look for a HUGE sale in the buy/sell trade forum in the next few weeks. Everything must go.

Sorry to hear that EA, I'll see what I can do to help you out in getting rid of some stuff, even though it won't be fair buying from someone who really doesn't probably want to get rid of it.

Doing some hunting and some fishing until every season is closed, then will continue on the Ice, just not for Muskies. It's a good life.

Done up here, the Warroad river was froze over this morning out to the lake. Be starting again in mid-January in Tennessee.

Got to put food in the freezer starting Saturday. good luck to all you Minnesota deer hunters! Fun times!

I will be back and forth between the woods and water for the rest of the month, at least for as long as mother nature will allow. Once the ice comes, I'll be hitting first ice pretty hard, can't wait!

You are all lucky had to put the boat away last weekend. Hockey starts and there will be no more time for quick after school trips.

Kevin,

The season ends Dec 31th down here, what a great way to spend the final days of the year. Can't wait to wear my Santa hat with a "Tom'n Jerry" in one hand and Grandma's fruit cake in the other waiting for the sucker pole to rip......
Enjoy the extended season....the Muskie expo is the next month, swap meet and the whole thing starts over again.

Oh, sure, the fishing season has been extended. I'm talking about golf. They're closing my course no later than Thanksgiving.

I should be out on Boom Saturday and another local lake around Rhinelander on Sunday if my plans work out. I too hope to be on Pewaukee enjoying some Xmas cheer and the delightful carols of reel clickers!

Have a trip to Webster Lake coming up Sunday for 4 days. After that will be going until everything freezes up, then maybe some ice fishing for pan fish.
Good Luck

Done for the season here. Boat went into storage on Tuesday and the snowmobiles came out. Deer hunting prep already started and the first sledding trip planned for mid December.
