Posts: 32836 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Nasty weather tomorrow morning, but the rest looks tolerable. Where are you headed to fish muskies this weekend? How'd you do?

Posts: 999 | Wow it's almost midnite here in Appleton and finally the high fall winds are hear but out out of the south! They are stiff to say the least. Anybody hitting bigwater tommaro better be careful and stay smart out there! Best of luck! Mr Musky

Posts: 1916 Location: Greenfield, WI | I'm missing this weekend for monster muskies in the middle of the FFFF! (Fabulous, Ficticious, Fall, Feeding Frenzy!) But I am tentatively set to chase some Cobia, Groupers, Snook, and whatever else happens to cooperate come next Thursday. We are leaving bright and early for Florida. The only release may be into the grease! The weather forcast is surprisingly similar to Wisconsin's..................................... low to mid 80's for highs and low 70's for lows! Posts: 395 Location: NW WI | K-bob and I fished an area lake on Thursday. A couple of follows on artificials and some sucker hits but none in the boat. Yesterday Ifishskis Jr. and I went out on the same lake and I boated my first fish of the year! A skinny 32 incher on a sucker...but heck it broke the ice. We had action on about 6 fish...all on suckers and all within an hour of moonrise. Only one in the boat though. Feeding windows seem very very narrow....sometimes 15-30 minutes. I've never fished this late into the fall but I guess I was expecting more action overall....the fish "putting the feedbag on" kinda thing. Attachments ---------------- ![]()

Posts: 1285 Location: WI | I trolled for 2 1/2 hours today before going in to work. It rained the whole time and I didn't have any action at all. Typical fall fishing for me. Wish I had free time when the weather is decent.

Posts: 661 Location: Roscoe IL | Got pounded on Saturday on Wingra, went through 2 batteries trying to fight the wind in my little river rat only to come up empty on the hookset 3 times. Went to Pewaukee Sunday & we lost 10 before getting a 39. That was the first catch in 10 years on that lake for me. I broke the curse! Lots & lots of boats on every spot. Moved one on a bulldawg & everything else came on suckers very thght to the weed lines. You could see the muskies tail crabbing on the strike, very cool to watch. Posts: 3829 | There's a big sewer project going on around this lake. Part of the project is "de-watering"; dozens of wells have been sunk and they're pumping water out of the ground in order to dig deep trenches. The water is flowing from the temp wells into hoses and pipes that are running off to the lakeshore. I've been waiting until midnight or so and I'm walking the shore casting rapalas into the currents, picking off walleye and bass at every outflow. Nothing big, but you gotta love those 16" - 18" walleyes for eaters.

Posts: 880 Location: New Berlin,Wisconsin,53151 | Not much for size but 3 fish on Saturday. Still biting on suckers and nothing chasing. I hope with the warm weather approaching this weekend we'll start to see some casting action again. With the IMTT final on Saturday it should break the 27 fish caught at the last event. All the same it's been a productive fall for fishing. Get out there and save the deer for the gun season. Bruce
