I don't normally knock or doubt the size of someones fish but the link below is to a story that aired on CBC the National which is Canada's (my country's) national news show. It was also aired on the CBC Radio and printed on their website for which the link is for. I'm posting this for a laugh and not for everyone to rip on because basicly that's what its good for. It just goes to show you can't even believe everything you hear on the National News. I also just wanted to say I'm not in anyway ripping on the guy that caught it just CBC for being so lame for not looking into things better.

Good Fishin'
Tim

Those Ontario fish sure are born big, since they normally measure between 28 and 54 inches.

That is funny, I don't see how that fish had a 29 inch girth... which would have put it over 50 lbs.

"I said, 'Have a good day, big fella.' And he probably said 'You have a good day, because I think I wanted you to catch me because you were going to let me go.' I think he really thought that!"

"We looked eye to eye, fish to fisherman, " Cartier said, his voice shaking with emotion. "And in my mind and his mind, we said 'Let's get it on.' So, we got it on."

This guy reads muskies minds!!! Get him some articles in Musky Hunter.

Seriously though, that fish is not that big, but the article is worth a few good chuckles, that guy is a character.

Ha ha they looked eye to eye. The Muskie bit becaus he knew the guy would throw him back. I wish my MN muskies thought like that I'd catch every fish in the state!!!!! You've got to read the comments there almost better than the story my favorite leave the fish alone they dident do any thing to you.

Wow I should start trolling a 3/4 oz jig head with a "bit" of worm on the end for big fish. I saw a buddy catch a mid 20s on a worm but a 50, wow.

"He said his 50-pound scale "bottomed out" when he tried to weigh his catch."

He didn't say the scale was also attached to his belt loop.

That guy's an imposter! That's Herve Villechaize, the little guy who played Tattoo on Fantasy Island. He was a muskie nut, for real, but I thought he was dead. Very crafty.

52 pounds, 61 inches, what's the difference? At least this guy doesn't take himself too seriously -- he was obviously just caught up in all of it. Good for him.

Ha! Great pic, thanks. He really did enjoy muskie fishing, traveld to WI alot. There are some WI guys out there, friends of his, that want to memorialize him by using his hight to measure muskies. So if Herve was 46", then a 48" fish is a "Herve plus two".

If Norman Cartier is still shaken, one has to wonder how the mighty muskie he caught Tuesday is feeling.

haha my guess would be dead so its not feeling much
