Posts: 1169 Location: New Hope MN | notice the strike from the left side again? The thread earlier about fish being right eye dominant is spot on.

Posts: 37 | Interesting point, what amazes me is the diffference between the smaller fish and the larger fish, little ones will zip around look in the camera and just act almost playful. Bigger fish like this one are more methodical in their actions.

This is a sample of my first video strike that occured while showing a professional in video advertising(above water). He was actually watching the monitor while we were discussing options when he noticed something on the screen. Low and behold it was my first recorded strike. After a quick glance the fish takes 18sec. to plan out its attack.

Low to mid 40???....I am going to have to tell you that you are a bit light. Not that it matters . The time involved in just getting any footage can be overwhelming, but when it happens it is worth it!! Todd Attachments ---------------- 100_4530.JPG (70KB - 92 downloads)

Posts: 37 | Hey Todd: He was just taking a good guess, it is real difficult to tell from footage. I may have guessed that as well not knowing the size of the spinner. I appreciate the positive feedback. That Spanky looks great, fascinated with how that fish come back on you twice. Good Video, I may post some more tomorrow, I will try and upload to the site rather than the U-Tube thing. Don

Here is another strike that I obtained last fall while making a quick turn in 18' of water to avoid some cribs. The strike occured so quickly that I had to replay it in the boat to see what had actually tripped the rod. Needless to say the fish shook off, but we do this sport for "Catch and Release" and I did "Catch" it on film. Todd

Posts: 37 | http://www.youtube.com/user/opadry#play/all/uploads-all/0/95EXAG3MA... Here is another clip, you have to go to 4;30. I tried to upload directly to the site but did something wrong on the log in. Yes, these fish were filmed with Aqua Vu cameras. Both the vids I posted were also on the Muskies Live Video I did with Nature Vision and was edited by In-Fisherman. However, I got a few e-mails that some thought the Vid was just a ad for the Spinner bait and the Cameras, others thought it was a great video with good footage on how to set up the system. So if you try and buy the Vid it will tell you how, but like I said the bait and cameras are talked about. be patient and put your time in, I am sure Todd will get some good footage, I really like his bait footage and he has color. Todd you should post the Sucker Footage we got. Don Edited by DonSchwartz 7/8/2009 7:25 AM

I will try and get the sucker footage posted up for all to see. All of the fish clips that we captured while dragging a modified live sucker are reallly awesome!! I need to edit the clips down so I can share just the portions where the muskies are in plain view. When we do this with the Aqua-Vu set-ups we are recording in ASF. format which is not the easiest to work with, but it can be done. I will try to get them up by tomorrow.

This is not the best clip, but it was short enough to post without editing. You will notice when a fish appears it is almost ghost like. At the time we were doing this we were also dragging a Trainwreck, that is why we added the blades to the sucker. To drag a sucker plain at 3.0 mph, they tend to just soar along motionless.(fish appears @ 19 sec.- 46 sec.)
