My brother. He boats over 50 fish per year on average with usually a dozen or more 50 inchers. I think two years ago he had 19 fish over 49 inches. He always finds the fish. I think we're going Sturgeon fishing next week to give our equipment an early season work-over.

Posts: 250 | Although I have fished twice with him before I would have to say Dick Pearson. His knowledge and thought patterns on the water are very interesting. Besides, I like his bit of quirkiness. Right there with him is Frank Walsh. All I can say about Frank is he is a class act and just down right fun to fish with. Steve Ruhmann

Gentlemen this one is a no brainer! MIKE LAZARUS! He is the BEST Musky Fisherman of all time! NO COMPARISONS! No one and I mean No one, could touch this guy! He is in a leaugue of his own! The man is a machine! His numbers speak for themselves! You could take the so called top ten best muskie fisherman around for 50" fish and numbers and LAZARUS will DESTROY all ten of those guys with 50"ers and numbers! With no disrespect to whoever those top 10 guys are! LAZARUS is simply the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posts: 8781 | I've been fortunate enough to fish with some of the "best" anglers in the business. The amount of insight and knowledge I've gotten from fishing with them far surpasses anything I could have gotten from a book, a magazine, a website, etc. There are several more who I hope to have the opportunity to share the boat with some day. Guys like Tom Gelb, Dick Pearson, Doug Johnson... Not to discredit the young guides or anything, but there is no substitute for decades on the water. If you really want to learn about muskie fishing there are two things you need to do: 1. Spend a day in the boat with someone who has 30 years or more under their belt. 2. When they talk, shut up and listen.
