Very cool. I'd like to see that in person. Great pictures! The bottom 3 should qualify for the Musky Hunter calendar.

Posts: 2894 Location: Yahara River Chain | Ken, yes I got them from Don today. If it rains that should accelerate the action. Jono, Don always sends me a bunch of them over the couple of weeks this is happening and if he does I will post more. I had one from last year as my desktop background. Now I've chosen a new one from this batch. ![]()

Posts: 413 Location: Madison WI | f4m1 - 3/26/2009 11:57 PM how big are those 3 that are sitting there It depends on which pic your talking about, one of them there is prolly 2 45's and a lower 40, the other one is of 2 45's and the other one is prolly about 47-48 inches. I was literally 2-4 ft from them that day. Hopefully the water level drops so I can make my way across the spillway and see the big females in the corner.

Many are staged in the pool below and every now and again one takes a shot on getting up the spillway. Sometimes they make, most times they don't, sometimes they do only to slip back over where they came from. They normally draw a good crowd and more so on warmer sunny days.

Location: SE Wisconsin | Those scars across the back of the fish in the last pic may be from jumping and hitting the edge of the spillway. When you see the fish in the air like that, ever wonder if they see the lake above and store that sight in their memory bank? Like little explorers. . .

Signs are posted around the area. Those signs still don't deter people from fishing there, heck we were there on Saturday and some guy walked up and actually snagged a fish before he got his butt chewed out for fishing there.

I highly doubt those are spill way scars, that fish definetly had something try to eat him more then once. The scars close up look like it got T-Boned by something bigger and took a couple of headshakes and then got released. I have seen enough fish with spillway scars and they don't look like those.
