What reels have been holding up for you this summer and which reels have not made the cut?

Abu Garcia Pro Max 6600 []
Abu Garcia 650 Plus (cheap reel, but works OK) [::)]
These are the same reels I have used for about 6 years and I have had only one problem and that was the thumb bar on the Pro Max. Otherwise excellent luck!

I have been on the water 48 times so far, mostly trolling, I use Ambassadeur 6000C reels, that have had the Hi-speed gears installed, the reels were manufactured in about 1972, FLAWLESS performance, they are oiled once a week.

Pete's reel is still working fine.

My Morrum needs a good flushing or brake adjustment but it keeps ticking. It's so loud right now though I thinks it's scaring away not only the muskies, but also the bait fish.

And my new Corsair (the factory replacement) sure is damn smooth - with no problems yet.

The Calcutta TE has me saving my coffee change each day...

Broke 2=5501 c3`s this year, both purchased this spring! But they got replaced right away!Still will stick with Abu though and hope that this does not turn into a Corsair thing! Its still a top workhorse of a reel! The Quantum Iron got buried at sea and that was to good for it!It only made about 30 days of water time!So much for those ~&^$#*_! 6500c3 vintage 92 flawless.
2 Iron's vintage 95 OK but make some noises once in a while.
Above three were cleaned, oiled and checked yesterday at the repair shop. Guy said they were all perfect.
Brand new 6500c3 vintage yesterday. Just bought it can't wait to use it. Gander Mtn out of Tuf-Line though. I'll have to try to find it on the way north.

Two years ago I bought my first Morrum, this year I bought an Ultra cast, I wish I’d saved up and gone with the morrum. The Ultra cast isn’t a bad reel; I just prefer the smooth morrum. A funny thing happens to me with my morrum though; sometimes when I’m casting I accidentally slide over the bait alarm button and then a loud scream ensues when I cast. It scares the sh!t out of me. It always seems to happen during those peaceful times.

Garcias ultracast line is my favorite for the money. Bought two more from a place called charkbait for 79 bucks. What a deal. The dumbies quit making them. Calcutta 250 is holding up well too.[:)] []

No one has mentioned Penn reels. Made in America and strong as an ox. I have two, both spinnning, and they have far out-lasted the Chinese Mitchells. m

Shimano Corsair 300s(gold) and one Calcutta 400. 2nd year on the Corsairs and they work flawlessly.
What problems are you seeing with the Corsairs?

Own 2 Calcuttas (not TE unfortunately) FLAWLESS and SMOOTH
2 Abu Garcia 6500's excellent performance out of both. 3 seasons on all 4 reels with nothing but regular maintence and always a bit if TLC. It pays to just simply take good care or your equipment!!! []

Calcutta's 400 and 250. They are worth the price.

I have a number of Garcia 5500 and 6500 c3 and c4s, all are great for me. The 6500c4 "fast cast" (with thumb bar) gets the most work as it's on the Fenwick bucktail rod and I like flinging those bucktails. On the smaller side, I have two Shimano Bantum Curados that are smooth as silk.

Calcutta 251s the best thing I have ever done was buy these reels. At least now I can say I have taken the broken reel deal off my list of excuses.
