Hey guys. Would any of you happen to have a copy recorded of the 2 episodes that aired on the 3rd and 10th of this month on cave run? if so i would be interested in getting them. Thanks!

I Believe I have them DVR'ed....

I suppose the best way for me to get them to you would be to record them to VCR, then send it off to you..

If you like watching someone raking a lake before a tourney and worrying about who's watching, then I guess it was a good show.

Huh?

I really like their tournament shows... They don't seem to force a laugh or try to conjure up excitement for the camera. Their emotional swings during the pre-fishing and tournaments are fun to watch.

Not a fan of watching the tourney shows. In fact I find myself falling back to sleep during them. Last few years this was my favorite show, but I cant say I'm interested in tournaments that happened 1-2 years ago on water I would not even fish when WI and MN waters are frozen.
Oh well, theres only 3 & 1/2 months to go!

God I hope theres not 2 episodes of them catching 35 inchers on the Madison Chain!

The tournament shows are great for showing what actually happens at a professional tournament and gives the audience a chance to see how two great tournament professionals go about tournament fishing.

I'd rather watch the tourney shows than an expose of less-known, highly productive waters...Just wait, they'll be coming.

Jackpot and Jason, I bet you wont be interesting in any of the MAC coverage then will ya? I give props to Steve and Mike for covering the tournaments as well as fishing them at the same time. It really gives people an idea what type of fishery many of these resevoirs, chains, and lakes are if you were ever interested fishing them. Not many other shows mention where they are fishing. (now I know they dont always mention where they are but there's some and of course all the tournaments they do)

I'm NOT interested in the MAC, or any other tournament Mr Musky, if I was, you might find my name in 1 of the 4 billion posts on the subject between the 2 sites.

I'm not hating on the show, just dont like the tourney episodes.
The fall asleep thing might have gone a little far. Truth is I probably just get in the shower.

One of the only true rules in this industry is no matter what you do someone will always disagree with it. It seems like if you release a fish, keep a fish, say the length, say lake, dont say lake or put this that and the other thing on TV someone will be upset. The bottom line is that Keyes has dones something different with his show by showing on TV how him and Steve go about tournament fishing. Jason I totally understand that because you have no interest in tournaments you fine these shows very dry. Either way you have to understand that there are plenty of people out there that do like them. Also I give Mike alot of respect for trying to put together a musky show durring the hardest time to catch a musky, durring a tournament.

I know I come off as a negative/sarcastic, but thats just me, its not meant to rip the show. I like Keyes show most of the time, it is 1 of the only shows I actually would set an alarm for if necessary.

The cave/kinkaid tourneys well, I didn't find to my taste. That is all!
Again & again I'm not trying to rip the show. I just like the non tournament episodes much more.

Does anyone have an email address or phone #for Mike Keyes?  I tried the email address on his web site several times with no response.  If you have an answer and  would rather PM me than post it, please do so.

Thanks!

I think they should just send a cameraman down to film the tourney shows and have him hop in one of the judge boats. Boy, those two poor guys sure seem to have crumby luck in the tournies. I think they got one short in the GB tourney and of the 3-4 other tourney shows in the last couple years, I don't think they've boated a fish during the actual event, that I remember.

I agree, tourney shows are kinda bleh. Short clips of guys holding fish and award ceremonies.....not exactly exciting. Tempting though, I'm sure. Quick way to get alot of fish on camera in each episode. I wonder how much fishing they actually get to do though, during the tourney I mean. They're always coasting right up next to someone unhooking a fish. Seems like you'd be at least partially out of commission while doing so.

Overall, Keyes is a pretty great show.

I heard that Bob M is in financial trouble along with all off Simply Fishing. My guess is he can't afford to purchase air time.

Again, this is just a rumor, but it kind of makes sense if his show is not on the air. Maybe someone "in the know" can shed some light on this.

I know a few lure company sponsors as well as other product sponsors are dropping from shows for 2009. Economy is hurting all...

My Time Warner DVR has a USB port as well, butg I cannot figure out how to download recorded stuff. If anyone knows how to do this without buying and installing a separate DVD recorder.....I'm all ears. Got lots of stuff I'd like to make discs of, but can't find a way to do it.

Spence explains it perfectly! I always wonder how others prepare for a tournament and what goes on in their boats during. Lot's of people just don't care, that's fine, it really just satisfies my curiousity. Mike's also a really great guy, on and off the water. One of the BEST EPISODES was the Bad River show! That was a cool show.

Is Wilderness Energy Drink still around? I know Sportsmans clearanced a bunch of cases by the end of summer last year.

I'm pretty sure the only way to get that off your dvr is to record it in real time to a dvd burner. Most if not all cable companies do not allow copying off to a pc as you are breaking copyright laws. Even if you have the program on an external drive...those drives are encoded to only be readable by the dvr it's hooked up to. Connecting that drive to a pc will not work.

Bad River Episode was easily the best show ever!!!!! I love the Keyes show, but the camping/fishing remote waters was awesome. Plus, the monster that Mike boated was incredible.

The show reminds me of the trips I have taken to Canada the last three years with my buddy...a truck, a tent, my little 12 foot aluminum boat, a 9.9 Johnson, a few rods, and too many baits!
