Check these guys out too. They were at the Chicago show for the first time this year. www.advancedtaxidermy.com/gallery/fish-gallery.html They are more than the $12.50 per inch that Fittante and Lax charge, but their art work is phenomenal. (Something like $19.50 per inch Canadian, which is currently around $16.50 US.) I went to the show thinking I was going to order a mount from Lax or Fittante, but walked out of the show with my cash still in my pocket. I’m trying to figure out whether or not I want to dump the extra dough on these guys. I really don’t want to sound like an advertisement, but my jaw dropped when I looked at their fish. They do mounts for most of the new Cabelas and Bass Pro Shops, including a 55’ humpback for BP in Boston.
Fittante and Lax do awesome work, but these guys are something to be considered too. The only unfortunate thing is that they only charge Canadian, so the US price changes daily.
