Location: Right Here | Check these guys out too. They were at the Chicago show for the first time this year. www.advancedtaxidermy.com/gallery/fish-gallery.html They are more than the $12.50 per inch that Fittante and Lax charge, but their art work is phenomenal. (Something like $19.50 per inch Canadian, which is currently around $16.50 US.) I went to the show thinking I was going to order a mount from Lax or Fittante, but walked out of the show with my cash still in my pocket. I’m trying to figure out whether or not I want to dump the extra dough on these guys. I really don’t want to sound like an advertisement, but my jaw dropped when I looked at their fish. They do mounts for most of the new Cabelas and Bass Pro Shops, including a 55’ humpback for BP in Boston.

Posts: 1764 Location: Ogden, Ut | I didn't get to pick who did mine...it was done secretly and presented to me when I least expected it. But Rick Lax did an amazing job of representing what may very well be the biggest tiger I will ever encounter. He truly captured the moment again. If I ever have another fish reproduction done, he'll be the one I call. Here's a couple of pics; one on the wall to get a good view of the artistry and one w/ me and my Mom to give you a sense of scale. (I still look dazed in that photo!) Thanks again guys. S. Posts: 28 Location: mankato, mn | This thread is making me freak the frick out!!! I'm waiting on my replica from Fittante which is supposed to be done in the next week or so. You guys are just making the wait worse...thanks a lot pricks! haha. But seriously, some of these mounts look amazing! I'm way impressed by Advanced Taxidermy's mounts. Crazy good detail, but I still prefer Joe's painting to any other. Congrats to Chadster and Rob S. for having some of the finest looking paint jobs i've seen!
