Posts: 1185 Location: Wishin I Was Fishin' | My hat is off to Dennis. That is one incredible fish not to mention it's definetely not a stocked fish either. I had the pleasure to fish with him the day before he caught her. He is very professional and works his tail off for your success. Green Bay is not at all easy this time of the year but his hard work does put fish in the boat. I too would really like to see a picture.

Posts: 159 Location: NYC (and many weeks in MN during summer) | the tiger is not stocked? Well then, how else do you think it got there, natural reproduction? Rg

Posts: 2893 Location: Yahara River Chain | NYmuskyhunter, yes by natural reproduction. Just like as it happens on LVD and the Chip in northern WI. The WDNR has not been in the business of raising tigers since the late 80s as that would be a put and take fishery. They prefer to stock trues where they at least have a chance of reproducing - not saying they will in some lakes, but it a far better chance than stocking tigers. Also, sometime tigers, just disappear and never get caught. They are not sure what is happening if the trues eat them or they move out of the system. Example - The Portage Muskie Club has stocked Swan Lake with many many tigers and a few trues. To this day the club members capture 6 trues to 1 tiger. Why is that? Nobody knows for sure.

Posts: 66 | Hey All! Got a call from a buddy and heard folks were asking....finally got access to a computer. I did have a stroke of luck while fishing along with Greg & Ellen Wells on Sunday, July 27th. We had a great morning with a nice musky in the boat, and then this monster hit after lunch around 1:30 on a bulldawg....I was fishing out of the back of the boat. That fish was the hardest strike & fight I have ever experienced.....it was a real thrill....it had me shakin' good There have been several nice tigers caught up there this year...I also had a client get a huge 48" pike this year out there! Take care everyone and good luck to all! I'll try to check back in next week. Dennis

Posts: 2893 Location: Yahara River Chain | Live2Fish - 8/9/2008 9:41 AM me wantie! where was this caught? Souther Wisconsin- or is that the 46'' fish? It was caught in Green Bay, not Southern WI. I'm not sure where the 46" was caught. Dennis that thing is a pig!!!!! It look a WHOLE lot bigger than the one Doug K caught with you last year. What's that the 2nd or 3rd hybrid in your boat???? | Hey great fish! If that came from Green Bay that has to mean natural reproduction, correct? That is AWESOME!!!!!! I had a buddy catch a 50" tiger from Northern WI on a Mag Bulldawg earlier in July, I will post a pic, when I get back to my other computer. Catch and Release is an amazing thing! Nail A Pig!
