I'll be on Oneida County waters chasing Muskies this weekend for the Northern WI opener, hoping for some action on the smaller lakes. Moen, George, and the like will be targets.

Where are you headed for the long weekend?

MatchFishing our first match of the year!
we're heading down to Madison to try our luck on Waubesa...hopefully after a week of steady warm weather the fish will finally be ready to go.

sadly, this is the first time in the last 5 years that i won't be driving up north for opening weekend. i think that will probably be the case for many people who end up doing more fishing "close to home". the Rhinelander Outing will be my first shot at those Vilas/Oneida muskies this year!

good luck!

Vilas County: Planning on fishing two favorite out of the way lakes and two new ones.
Saturday a.m. on deep, clear, cisco lake and p.m. on shallow, dark, panfish lake
Sunday - just the opposite...dark in the a.m. and clear in the p.m.
Monday - depends on what I learned from the days before.

Since we're still 4 weeks away from opening day out here in NY, I'll be biding my time with pike and walleyes... and checking out pics from those a bit luckier than myself.

Heading to Hayward for the first time ever fishing the Wisc. opener. Its kinda sad becouse the fish in Iowa have been going bonkers this week, but honestly with all the memorial day crazzies down here I'm glad to be heading north.

Teal and LLL hear I come!

My partner and I are heading to Redstone tomorrow and then up to the Island Lake Chain for the opener. Never been on this chain but I hear there are some good ones in there.

YEah because Fence lake is considered a 'smaller lake'

My son and I are going to be at a 15th Annual Father and Son event with 8 other father and sons on "Secret Lake X", way north...with any luck the only other boats we will see are the other boats of the guys in our group.
Last year my truck died half way there. God willing there will no mechanical issues and the muskies will be going nuts!
Almost everyone there are credible outdoorsmen. It should be a fantastic time as always!
Good Luck everyone.

I'll be in Vilas/Oneida lake hopping between some larger and smaller lakes seeing what's moving where...the late spring spooks me a bit on larger lakes...I'll hit them later in the day once the sun has it's chance to do it's thing on them...smaller early...and will try bigger lakes for the evening see what shakes out day one and go from there.

Home for the holiday, my daughter graduated from college and were having a party. It's great to know that $11,000.00 will be back in the pocket. I'm glad the boat lasted over the 4 years without any major problems, now maybe I can save enough to update. If the oil companies don't get it all first.

Good Luck to all those fishing....and GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!!!!!!

Best of luck to everybody heading up north. Water temps should be coming up nice and the weather will be cooperative for you. Be weary of 45/41 in Fon Du Lac, alot of road construction. There's also construction on 51 north of Hwy 8 where the road is 2 lanes. Minocqua is also ripped up pretty bad. Take your time and be safe.

I get to work, see the new Indy movie and try to avoid looking at the plastisized penis' at Body Worlds....YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEE. MEH.
