Sitting here at work, dreaming about muskies and thought we could have some fun with this.
What was the biggest Musky you saw last year?
I saw one that would qualify as a super tanker...(probably 54-55)
It has been so long since I caught one that big, but that is my estimation....

Fishing Mille Lacs, had a 55 x 27 follow my cremecile pounder, Hammernicks client caught it like 4 or 5 days later. Theres no mistaking a fish that huge. That fish still haunts my dreams. Cant wait to get out there this year and have a shot at her.

50" PIG -- not only my first 50"er, but the first 50-'ski I'd EVER seen. Caught her by myself late last fall -- also my first I've pulled in by myself. CRAZY . . . fighting wind, rain, and current, shallow, had to do the ol' reverse-the-net-trick inside out to get her in (ala Jim Saric) because I hooked the net my first attempt at getting it in. But I GOT HER and I even got some sweet video not only of the fish, but also the VERY successful release as I was all set up "just in case." PLUS, she bitch-slapped me on her exit - well-deserved!!!

I dream about it ALL THE TIME.

I would say 54-55, metro lake too. She was just sunning in the shallows in the fall, one of those fish that stays with you for a while. Wasn't interested in anything I was throwing. But now I know she's in there.

Had one hooked and to the surface, figured about 55" or 56". Came off on a dive down. Fresh off a 54" caught 1 week earlier so I had a pretty good idea on size. This one seemed obviously larger.

53 1/2" caught by my younger brother. I think I was more excited than him but then again, I think he was in shock. Biggest fish in my boat ever.

My first year out musky fishing last season and I got a 45". That was the biggest fish I saw for the year. I fish the murky WI river so you dont see too many follows...it makes for a good suprise when they do come up boat side. I'd like to think there may have been a 50 incher following my bait at some point. Maybe this year....

The biggest fish that I saw that was interested in MY bait was a fairly chunky 47-48 incher. Hit a bucktail 10 feet from the boat and sat there head shaking. Does the length estimate make it obvious she got off? Biggest I SAW was a fat upper 40's-50 that Joe Cal raised one day when I was fishing with him this fall near home.

A low 50's fish I lost near the boat, she had hit about 20' from the boat and swam straight at me. I didn't get a very good hookset and was just trying to keep up as she swam towards the boat. She dove under the boat so I hit her pretty good, she then turned and dove into a large clump of dying weeds and started to roll. I did manage a 10' long weed from the battle. And naturually this happened on the last half hour of the last day on the final trip of the year. %$#%, this must be the year then. Wasn't all bad though Dad got a fat 45" ( his biggest) and lost one between 45 & 50, it did a tail walk 15 feet from the boat and straightened the hooks, pretty impressive.

Did not see alot of really big fish but I did not shake off hundreds of 40 inchers either. I did lose a fish in the fall on a sucker that was a good 40 pounder. had i to the boat and it did one more dive and I was left with an inch of my wire leader. I saw it right at the boat so had a good gauge of its size.

I had one follow my reef hawg in about 8 feet of water in early November. The next cast it followed my buddy. Let's just say he needed to change his pants after seeing that fish. It was at least 50 inches but the girth and thickness of the fish was grotesque. It probably had a 20" girth by the tail and was ridiculous at the belly. It followed slow and moved away slow and deliberate.

I've been fishing muskies in WI for about 15 yrs. I've never raised a fish that I thought was over 50 until last Sept. Small NW WI lake, had a big lazy fish follow a white chatterbait off the deep end of a bar. It was the last few hrs of my annual fall trip & I was not able to raise her again afterwards.

Really no huge fish last year, even in Canada...saw a very nice fish on one of my bunny lakes, and shot a video of one under the ice this December, and saw a couple low 50's on the Goon with Merv.

Last year on a lake near hayward I delt with a fish that was a solid 54. The first time I saw her was early june on a gohsttail. She was directly under the bucktail I went into a 8 and she paid it no mind. Later on the eve of the new moon I had her flatten the watter behind a hog wobbler. This went on through out the summer seeing her 6 times. On october 2nd I went at her with a topper stopper that I retuned. She ate it about 30 feet from the boat, white water every where. I yeld to my dad "got her". As those cursed words left mouth she got off. The topper stopper came in completely mangled. Needless to say I went straight in to the bar. Tough way to end the season.

Not sure if I saw a legit 50" fish last year, though many mid upper 40's including several mid 40's in the boat. Not a good year for me either for bigger fish, but really good on numbers.

Had a client lose a fat mid 50 incher on Sunday, the next Wednesday on the same spot the same client landed a 55 x 25 where two weeks before I had landed a 54 x 25. I guess we must not have those super long fish here as every year I only see and catch fish to the mid 50's. Actually I've seen one in 15 years making the dozens of 54's I've boated look real small, it was at least 58 and super fat.

I had a 50"+ on Okauchee pre-fishing the IMTT last year chase a double cowgirl to the boat and then followed that up with a 50"+ on Pewaukee a week later. Those 2 fish were on the mind all winter long. Are you ready to ROCK?

Mine would be the biggest fish I DIDN'T see. Had one walk me around the boat a number of times but couldn't get it to the surface b4 it popped my lure. I've caught some tanks over the years but this one felt like a fish of a lifetime.
