Location: Lake Tomahawk, WI | I'm bored, have 2 hours until we go icefishing and editing system is rendering... Anyway, here's a hypothetical question for you out there who partake in both deer hunting and muskie fishing. Let's say that next fall you had only one week to hunt or fish. And for those who live next to a muskie lake or good hunting ground you wouldn't be able to hunt or fish those areas in the evening or weekends, all you had was one week. Your choices for this week in November would be: 1 week on the St. Lawrence, Ottawa, GB, LOTW, Eagle, or Mille Lacs during prime bite with shots at multiple 40lb+ fish. or 1 week of whitetail hunting in Saskatchewan or Alberta with a realistic shot at a 180 inch buck, 150 inch guaranteed. I know there's other dream trips that would be cool, like Alaskan moose, African big game, etc, but let's keep this to these 2 options. Interested in the results. JS

Posts: 2691 Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | I will bite on this. The 180 class buck is something I have been after for a long time with a bow and arrow. I voted for the buck because I have already been there and done the other a few times. For those who can't see why some people will choose the buck over the muskie: You just have to experence the heart pounding adrenaline rush of something powerfull enough to kill you with a bow and arrow. Just seeing one this big is tough, now getting close enough to take it out is not easy. I am up to 155 and working to get a booner(170+).

Posts: 401 | I voted fishing. Hunting is something I enjoy but fishing is really in my blood unless you are talking spring turkey hunting. I would pass just about anything for those 5 days in the woods. Keith

Posts: 272 | Guaranteed 150" whitetail....I'm in. Did the musky thing this year, got two 50s in the boat, gave up bowhunting about 5-6 years ago, haven't gun hunted much the past two years due to a slight case of fatherhood. I kinda miss it. Another set of big horns would look good on the wall.

Posts: 956 Location: Home of the 2016 World Series Champion Cubs | I would have to say i'd go deer hunting. But not for the 180 rack. While that is truely and purely a bonus. I take great pleasure in reliving memories of both hunting and fishing trips in my mind and with my friends throughout the year. What I enjoy a bit more is sharing those memories over a perfectly grilled venison tenderloin with someone who says venison tastes "gamey" and opening their eyes. I love my venison ( buck or doe, doesnt matter), throughout the year in a way I could never do with muskies. Merry Christmas to all. Karl.

Posts: 311 | I have to go with BIG Muskies, not knowing just how big the fish is on the end of your line till you get it to boatside was the deciding factor for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posts: 134 | I've got to agree with Keith on the turkey hunting, nothing like it , makes your blood boil. Now if they could do some cross breeding and come up with a muskie that gobbled on the figure eight, well I don't know if my heart could take it!!! Joe W

Count me in for the 150+ deer. In my opinion there is nothing that compares to the adrenaline rush of a mature trophy caliber deer with a bow in hand. The pure excitment and solitude of being one on one with these creatures is something I would not trade for anything. Believe me I would love to catch multiple 40+ pounders, but the excitment of mature trophy deer does it for me! Scott Karow Figure 8 Lure Co.

Posts: 1237 Location: South Portsmouth, KY | Wow! Thats a tough one. I guess i will pick the hunting trip for 150+ buck. I mean going to Saskatchewan or somewhere in Canada during the rut bowhunting for giant mature bucks would be a once in a lifetime trip. Going to the big fish waters in MN or Canada during prime time for the big girls is something i have planned out to do alot at some point in the future. Bucks gettin that sized are rare, especially where i hunt now, so i would have to pick the giant buck! Edited by muskie_man 12/22/2007 5:55 PM

Mr Musky Agree, agree. You cant go on those hunts up there for under $3,000. By the way Jason, when will the next Badfish dvd become available for purchase? Thanks! Posts: 2323 Location: Stevens Point, WI | Like Norm said, guaranteed monster bucks, I'd probably be in too. However, I would probably go with the first trip offered. Or whatever I was in the mood to do at the time, more fishing or hunting. I'm sitting in the Milwaukee airport waiting on our flight to Florida, and I just got off the phone with a couple guides. Looks like I will be fishing for something this coming week. Either Okauchobee for BIG Largemouth, or hopefully some Redfish/Snook on the inland flats off the coast. I just can't wait to get on some soft water and to do 50+ mph!

Posts: 1316 Location: Lebanon,Mo | I will go with the fishing.Having the chance at a 50" plus would more of a challenge to me than the deer.We have so many turkey (Missouri ranks like 3rd??) and deer are plentiful, just not big.Hunting is everything down here,so i see it all the time.Musky fishing for me all the way.Our Muskie size here isnt like what it is up north, but we are working on it.... ![]()

Location: Lake Tomahawk, WI | I would have to go with the deer hunt, hands down. Although there is something magic about fishing LOTW, hunting in cold weather, being in the woods, filling the freezer, my favorite thing in the world for sure. JS
