I really don't miss muskie fishing during the off season, as I snowboard about 2-4 days a week...keeps me in shape and don't dwell on the lack of fishing...We have gotten sooooo much snow here in Colorado the last couple of weeks the season has been great...What do you all do?

Ben do you live in colorado now? Cool.

I goto sprt shows, I still do some fishing too. My back told me excersize is something you will have to do if you want to do what you want so that is part of my every day plan and on days I have off when I don't have plans I work out alot.

Actually make it to class and put an attempt into studying......wait, I can ice fish, guess that idea is shot down too. Ice fish and drink, thats how I pass the off season. Ice fished today, tonight I drink, but tomorrow I work, boy that throws a wrench in things!

Work and ice fishing are a few things, but mostly hanging out with my 2 little girls. Man do they take up a lot of time. I was actually looking forward to the season ending this year so I would have some time free to rest for once. This year flewwwww by. My fishing time wasn't reduced too much, but my free time was limited. So now that 'ski season is over, it's work, play with the kids, sleep (sometimes). Then repeat. Fun times indeed.

sled riding, ice fishing, hockey and downhill skiing keep my kids and i pretty active and busy during the winter ... toughest thing is to pick which one to do ... i prefer winter to summer personally ...

I usually get into some "project" of some kind...usually some add-ons to the boat. I also spend a little time on the ice going after northerns on tip-ups.

Been thinking of getting into building some baits...just have not pulled the rigger yet.

Then...I spend a fair share of time here perusing the board.

I'm a winter idiot too. Obviously with a family you keep plenty busy. But when the control tower is black I enjoy playing hockey, poker, sleds, ice fishing, good dark beers and Call of Duty 4 at night.

FInd some fix it up projects inside the house, go to sport shows, watch a lot of videos, and read a lot of muskie magazines. The occassional ice fishing outing puts a fix on the fishing bug.

I'm going in Monday to have a heart valve replaced that should have been replaced last winter, but I have been way to busy to commit to being sliced open and to be out of comission for 4-5 weeks.

You guys that have a conection to the Big Guy upstairs say a little prayer for me to get through this bump in the road so I can end up meeting and fishing with some of you "Characters".

So after I heal up I'll be headed back down to Kentucky  at the end of Jan. for work 'but more importantly some open water muskie fishing at Cave Run and Melton Hill TN.

Every one have  a Blessed Christmas Season,

Just got off the ice here in the land of Lincoln. Some nice crappie and a 3 pound largemouth to show for my bravery. There was barely enough in one cove of the lake I fished. The rest of the lake is open water.

Boredom makes me brave !!!

Jerome

I will say a prayer for you. Take care of yourself and your family during the Christmas Season. Heal up quick and get back down to Kentucky. I have a couple lures I made with your name on them.

I make a crap load of baits and have a crap load manufactured. Will be selling a crap load on eBay too. My goal is to sell 15,000 lures by musky opener 2008. That should keep me busy. Also designing a few new baits over this winter. Should be a fun winter for me. Just got an ice auger for $20 and got it running too. Will be nice to go out on some local lakes this year and ice fish. My 3yr old needs to go out a few times to get him up to speed!

I read a lot, snowboard, drink beer, showshoe, do bait mods, wait for the sport shows, go to college hockey games, cross country ski. If we have enough snow I can easily stay busy, when we don't it's pure torture.

Great time to sharpen/replace hooks, doctor lures, clean and lube reels. Ice fish and a little wood working from time to time. The only bad part about getting your lures and reels in prime condition is it just makes you want to get back out on the water even more.

Well, I brought my boat down to my house in AZ after my 2 LOTW trips this summer.

Going to be getting out on the lakes down here chasing a 10 lb largemouth.

Lake within 20 minutes of my house produces fish in the 10-12 lb range each year.

Having the patience to fish muskies will help me chase the BIG largemouth. You can keep the 3-5 lbers. I'm going after the fish of a lifetime.

I try to get out for some Ice fishing and Bunny hunting. This year however its Building lures. I need several thousand baits to get me thru next year. If I build them now I will have time to Fish this spring and summer. I would sure like to deer hunt next fall. Kingfisher

Ice fishing, tearing down and rebuilding all my reels, replacing hooks, sharpening ALL the hook points of ALL the baits plus painting the fresh metal with a red perm marker, target shooting out the window with a pellet gun and inside the house with a CO2 BB pistol, reading, music, pool and kids.

Best wishes, Jerome!!!
