Posts: 7092 Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | Last week we had an overwhelming response to our Picture Contest, but NOW what have ya got for week TWO? Same rules, same judging, good luck to all and let's see more great muskie fishing pics! To celebrate the release of the new Shack Attack Lures 11" Curly Sue, MuskieFIRST will be working with the folks at Shack Attack to run a weekly fish photo contest! This isn't about the biggest fish, the fattest fish, or the fish with the best story attached...just the best fish picture! What defines the BEST fish picture? Well, it's like good art, our judges will know it when we see it! Release pictures could be the winners, in the net pictures could be winners, posed pictures alone or with friends or against great or ugly scenery could be winners. All photos will be judged by your very own MuskieFIRST moderators: Steve Worrall, Mike Winther and myself. Rules: -Each picture can only be used one time for the duration of this promotion. -It is GREATLY ENCOURAGED that more recent fish pictures be used for contest entries. -Thursday will be the first day of each week of the contest, which will run until Tuesday of the following week. Weekly winners will be annouced on the Wedensday following. -Obviously dead fish are not possible winners, nor are pictures of fish held unsupported in vertical holds. -Though multiple entries are allowed, each user can only win one time for the duration of the contest. -Pictures are to be submitted to the thread that goes up every Thursday with the name 'Weekly Picture Contest! Sponsored by Shack Attack Lures' posted by myself or one of the other MuskieFIRST moderators. Pictures not posted onto that thread will not be considered. -Only registered MuskieFIRST members are eligible for entry into the contest. -Each registered user will be allowed ONLY THREE pictures per week to enter. Prizes: 1st Place: Shack Attack 11" Curly Sue 2nd Place: Shack Attack 11" Suzy Sucker Prizes will be sent directly from Andy Bellini at Shack Attack Lures. Upon winning, the winner will be named, and must send his/her address directly to Andy in order to have your prize sent to you! For more information on the contest, either PM me directly, or post here. For more information on Shack Attack Lures, go to http://www.shackattacklures.com. Good luck and begin entering your fish.....NOW! Below are pictures of the 11" Curly Sue and Suzy Sucker as well as a big Mille Lacs fattie caught on the new 11" Curly Sue, while fishing with Steve Jonesi's Guide Service. Enter by adding your picture to this thread... Attachments ---------------- blackorange1.jpg (34KB - 137 downloads) shack_logo.gif (7KB - 145 downloads)

Posts: 2865 Location: Brookfield, WI | I nailed this fall fatty last Saturday morning at one of my favorite SE WI spots on a debit card. It was not real long, but the girth was unbelievable. It weighed in at 24.50 pounds. The amazing thing is how it was schooled up with about fifty other smaller specimens. With some hard work I managed to pull the biggest one out of the group. Unfortunately, we have decided to eat it. I understand this disqualifies me from the contest, but I wanted to share the photos of this true trophy. Please do not attack me and my family for utilizing all parts of this fine example of what good management of our resources can produce. Kevin Thank you for your consideration, and enjoy the day. Posts: 654 Location: MPLS, MN | In my opinion, art is ALOT more than what looks cool. Human expression is true art, to me seeing a young man or excited angler holding their fish is more art than a cool looking planned photo with a expensive camera. Just something for the judges to think about.

Posts: 550 Location: So. Illinois | Vietnam Veteran and retired Air Force CMSgt Larry Koerber with his first Muskie. By the smile on his face you would have thought he caught a 50". Larry was invited out for a day of guided fishing during the Shawnee Muskie Hunters "Take a Veteran Fishing" outing. Larry was guided by Dave Jansen. Posts: 2024 | Some really fantastic pictures being posted! Keep 'em coming! First one isn't recent (see bottom right of photo for date), but a rare shot of both my dad and I taken by Steve Fidler and Ray ??? (for those who fished Kinkaid in March and heard about the guys with the flamingo in their boat it was those guys; from the Green Bay area. Their last names escape me at the moment, super dudes though!). The second one is self explanatory, and the last one was (also not recent) from a trip to Mille Lacs a couple summers ago where my dad broke his personal best twice, this fish was breaking it for the first time (he was just a little excited... just a bit). By the second time it was old news (or maybe he just had a hard time lifting the slob)!
