can you say 51.25" tiger muskie in Utah???? during a MatchFishing match to boot!!!! caught trolling a J13 Rapala, he offered it to his partner when it hit but his partner declined and said, "i've got 2 already, you take one." the fish stayed deep during the fight and when they saw it, his partner commented, "you should see your face right now. i've never seen a fish phase you before, and this one phased you!" 51.25" long x 24" girth released. emphasis on released because the Utah state record was 49" x 24" so this undoubtably would have been the state record fish. Sorno, you're an example to us all for doing letting that fish go. he says he'll post pictures within the hour. i'm soooo happy for you. congrats buddy, you've earned it!

Posts: 2865 Location: Brookfield, WI | If there's a guy anywhere that deserves something like this, it's Kent. Congratulations. Shows how always keeping a smile on your face can pay off. Two questions, however. 1) Did you like catching one big one more than twelve to fourteen in one day less than 30"? LOL. 2) What flavor of home brew for the celebration? Kevin Sometimes nice guys finish first.

Posts: 1764 Location: Ogden, Ut | Only 3 fish today... 27,27.5, 51 1/4 Man that feels good! Lambeau pretty much hit the highlights of the story; I'm just trying to let it all sink in. We were trolling just outside the 'no boats' area just off the most populated beach on Pineview. About 4-5' down over 20'. And yes, she still swims. Not sure if it would have been a state record (and I'll never know for sure), but is definitely in the ballpark and perhaps a bit out...
