Posts: 4266 | I have lots of artwork....most of which I'd like to get rid of. I used to be an avid duck hunter. I have The Ducks Unlimited Print of the Year with the gold seal for 2 consecutive years. I have 2 Federal Duck Stamp prints with matching serial numbers. I have a Wisconsin State Stamp print with a remark that is bigger than the print itself. I watched the guy do the remark. It took him about 2 hours to do. Very cool to watch. Now I'd like to sell them and get some muskie related art or maybe a whitetail print or two. Anybody into waterfowl artwork? Beav

Posts: 366 | I have a print of "On the figure eight" by Mark Susinno above my desk that is one of the best pieces of Muskie art that I've ever seen. Mark has only done a couple of muskie prints, but his work is as good as just about anyone else I've seen. He typically does salt water fish, and is an avid diver. I've also got a Smallie and a Largemouth by Al Agnew on the adjacent wall that I like quite a bit even though they are not muskie prints. Both artists put out near photo like quality. My uncle Neal won the Federal Duck Stamp two different times in 1989/1990 I think, and in 1994/1995 so I've actually got to meet both artists going to art shows with him and my dad. Both good guys that have been able to enjoy the life that their success has provided. Ryan Here is the one I have, but this is a really washed out image of it and does not do the painting any justice. Posts: 680 Location: Muskoka Ontario,Canada | I'm a big fan of art especially fish related of course. Charles Weiss is amazing! I'm actually working on a piece that I am going to submit to Musky Hunter magazine when it's done in the hopes of a cover. I'll be sure to post it here when it's completed. I actually won a province wide art contest when I was nine years old and the artwork got hung in the Royal Ontario Museum for their Dinosaur Month celebration at the time. needless to say I was one proud little boy!

Posts: 232 Location: Sun Prairie, WI | I have several Scott Zoellick muskie prints, all with a remark, my favorite being Moonlight Muskie. I purchased that one from him at the Milwaukee show several years ago and he did the remark as a show special. Total cost at the time $125, it certainly has gone up in value as have all the others.

Posts: 1058 Location: Medford, WI | I have two hanging up in my room at home by Garrett Shipman, "Golden Frontier" and I can't think of it. He was my sixth grade teacher and basketball coach throughout high school. Avid musky fisherman and he makes the Big Daddy baits, which some of you probably know of. Very talented artist and a great guy. He's been on the cover of MH numerous times; most recently just an issue or two back with the musky swiping at a Jake coming out of the weeds. I'll take some pics when I'm at home this weekend. Here's a link to a few of his paintings: http://www.muskyhuntercatalog.com/acatalog/Garett_Shipman.html One of his prints is also on the cover of "The Complete Guide to Musky Hunting" - 2nd Version. I'm really interested in any musky-related art, so if anyone has any links, please post them. Thanks, Jake

The Fargo-Moorhead Muskies Inc. Chapter had a special print commissioned by an award winning artist. It features the late Al Skaar and the founder of Muskies Inc., Gil Hamm as a ghost image in the clouds. Actually, it can be purchased right now very reasonably priced. I have one hanging in my bedroom. Here is what it looks like: Attachments ---------------- skaar.JPG (70KB - 1918 downloads)

Posts: 680 Location: Muskoka Ontario,Canada | Wow guys, all these paintings are awesome!!! I'm a huge Sussino fan and his style is where I would like to see my own paintings going. Gotta aim high I always say! Love the ambiance of his paintings. Larry Tople too. Their paintings really "feel" like you are looking underwater.
