I just was thinking about the weekend and what I learned or brought back from the show? This could include seminars or baits. I think that the seminar that Dennis Radloff did on Green Bay Muskies is going to get me out there a couple of times this year. It's a heck of a lot closer than other prime areas in the far North and I don't have to deal with a passport or out of state license. Bring on the big water 425 sq miles should keep me busy for awhile.

The amount of makeup that can remain on one hooter girl at one time.

My buddy mike had the best comment when we walked by them....he said to me, "Man, I would have to change the pillow cases after she slept over, she would leave a huge makeup stain!"

I would have to say Greg Thomas. The new DVD he has out is a must see.
Second would be Brad Hoppe Musky Mayham Tackle. It is just awsome to watch those guys make you a custom cowgirl. I hope they are as good as they were last year, Spent my life savings on them.

I enjoyed talking to Doug Bradley from Bitten Tackle about his lures and I also got two of his custom creeps. I also got to talk to the guys at the LeLure booth and learned some more about Frenchy and his lures. I also talked to Lambeau and Baldy at the mojo booth. Also picked up a bluegill slammer dropbelly. It was a really good show!!

One word BIG. I can't believe the size of the baits that are out there now! And the number of Abu 7000's that were sold to run these big baits.

What impressed me was my ability to attend the show 2.5 hours, talk to friends, and not buy one single thing, including a beer. Or maybe I should say, especially a beer.

Good job Reelman on filling up all those reels with line for happy new customers. Wish we hadn't run out of 7000Ihsn reels. Could have sold a bunch more! Nice crowd at the Milwaukee show this year. I stayed so busy I never had a chance to walk the show. Only got out for a couple quick breaks all weekend. Thanks to all the Muskiefirsters who stopped by the R&H booth to say hi.

The Professional Edge Pounder Rod! The rod lifted 23lbs. from the ground multiple times. Simply the best rod for throwing big baits.

I was mostly impressed with how awesome the people who frequent Muskiefirst and run this board. There are many guys whom I have already met but I was introduced to quite a few others this past weekend and what a great bunch of guys I can't wait to attend some of the outings in 2007.

Shane,

You're not the worst guy yourself! Good talking to you again. It's the same with me, it never ceases to amaze me at the quality of the people there. Everyone has always been so kind and eager to talk shop. I enjoyed Mrs. Gary Jacobs marriage advice, Worralls never-ending wealth of insight, Patricia Struz "One for the ladies" attitude, Mathei and Ken Jackson's ability to help a guy quench his thrist and so much else.

Things I did not enjoy: Being sick, how a $4 BBQ Chicken sandwich sits in my stomach, leaving and Hulbert's ability to make me feel glow-in-the-dark. Thanks Mike.

The fact that Vanessa got so much free stuff. She is still talking about the "Musky show", and she has the attention span of a girl her age (3). Thank you to everyone being so good to her ( Lungen for the free t-shirt, Midwest Outdoors magazine for her Storm bait, the Lube company on the other side of Lungen for the candy, Nimmer for cutting the price of the "Dora Bait in half, and the Lady at the MH booth who was so good to her.

When we were vendors, we were real good to kids. Kids are the future of this sport. Sunday afternoon, I presented Vanessa with her first bait box, with all the stickers she got, and some baits ( a few bucktails and hard baits, Hooks removed, I made along with her Dora bait).Proudest moment in her life, with the exception of her first 3 fish (none of YET, are muskys).

I brought my son Laine to the show with me for the first time and even though it was stressfull at times {Luke knows}, he had an absolute awesome time meeting and spending time with all of the vendors . I wanted to say THANK YOU to all of you that took the time to talk with him and spend time with him at your booths. I am often reminded of how incredible the people in this industry are and this is one time Laine will never forget!!!!!!!!!!..........Thank you all....Doug and Laine Bradley/ Bitten Tackle

My slide job while doing the pool demo. I put a bait on the edge of the tank it was sliding on the edge and I popped her back in before making the embarrasing one out of the tank cast.

I like it all. The show, the swap, the band, hanging with the wi peeps, the drinks were watered down but other than that, it was cool.

I was really impressed by the 'basement' lure builders stuff. Quality lures with incredible paint and detail.

Had a great time at the show as well, talked to a lot of friends and met a lot of new people. Probably the best person that I talked to was 8 year old Laine Bradley from Bitten Tackle what a great little kid. Doug you have a fishing partner for life and this is the future of our sport.

Thanks for the compliment Norm, it was good to finally meet you and get a chance to talk. I don't know if I would make the statement if they don't catch fish I would quit though . . .. I would hate to be the reason you had to quit musky fishing because of a statement like that!!!!!

Good luck with the lures.

Your best bet is to give Keith a call...612-802-4629

I believe that rod is rated up to 20oz, but as you can see in the video it can handle a little more than that.

The nostril burning, room clearing, dank smelling, absolute bomb somebody laid at the swap. You'd've thought somebody yelled mouse during a tupperware party. I still can't believe nobody claimed that one. That was a trophy! And no, it wasn't me, I was on the outside ring of the fallout.

I heard the best part of the show was our own Iron Man Muskie Board Member Rory Tuff ( Mister November) demonstrating the art of extracting a dull hook out of his hand in our booth. Unfortunatley I was not there to witness his demonstration. I heard it was a hit! I think next year we will try to get a pet muskie to see if he can stick his head into its mouth with his hands behind his back!

I think we can get some good exposure with these stunts. I'm glad our guys are willing to sacrifice life and limb!
