I think that ALL striking behavior is instinctive behavior (feeding strikes and terratorial strikes). A muskie is cold blooded and is completly controlled by its environment. Does anyone disagree?[]

YES, I DOUBT YOU!

All water is NOT wet (moist). What if it is frozen? You see wet and moist are symbols that we attach with meaning.

SWWWWING and a miss, Mike!

DUH!!! When water is frozen it is called ICE! AND either way ice is wet unless it’s dry ice silly boy. Who conditioned you? a musky?

Obviously shame has no boundaries....I agree/disagree w/ the both of you...+ also disagree/agree w/ each one of you depending on how the term "moisture" is defined pertaining to that which is being discussed...the interpretation of one at times differs from the others depending on sentence wording, structure, education, mental faculties + at times, depending on location, language barriers....one thing that can be counted on is the fact that the longer the fish is out of the water, the less chance of it striking anything for whatever reason...hence the old saying "A dry musky strikes not". Hope this helps![:sun:]

How about this, It's all relative,You are not wet until you get out of the water[]

Yes John! a chilling revelation. I agree! as the water evaporates and diffuses THAT is when one realizes their soggy predicament. So, I’ll now advocate that when releasing a musky it is good to give them “a blow” to cool their elevated body temperatures.[:0]

NEXT .....NEXT...NEXT.....
I doubt that anyone would describe ice as moist or wet. If they did they would be describing the water that is in a liquid state NOT A FROZEN STATE. Plus..... thank you for reiderating my point that not all water is wet (dry ice).

I was waiting for you to bring up INSTINCTIVE conditioning behavior. You have to ask yourself : Do you really want to engage on that subject. You know you cant win. [:p]

There is only ONe and One wetness only that concerns me and that particular wetness is not relevent to any discussion of Musky fishing.I advocate catch - photo and release on those creatures also however!!

Smarty pants, check this out http://www.occc.com/abc/dry-ice.htm your barking up the wrong tree. We’re talking about water here and that is the key word. WATER is moist no an, ifs, or buts about it!

Icehole, Why not just make 10 the highest and be on the same scale as everybody else?
Here’s a link to everything you need to know about ice: http://skua.gps.caltech.edu/hermann/ice.htm
And yes, some ice is wet.

O.K everyone...what if you were in space and water is just a big glob? Now is it wet? It acts like a solid but in liquid state. [] <-----I'm being his advocate

Illini,

You don't know how to spell reiterate or.....you can't type. Can't argue w/dat, can you???

Subject: Does anyone want to argue with me?

I still say it's all relative, If a blob of water is floating in space the blob is wet relative to the area around the blob, as far as the Ice discussion goes let's assume that for just one second you are holding in one hand an ice cube and a rock in the other, if you drop both the hand that held the ice cube will have some moisture on it the hand that held the rock will not therefore ice is wet

GOD HELP US WE NEED TO GO FISHING!!!!!!!!!!

Illini,

I thought this was a funny thread so I brought up something trivial. So sorry to offend you. BTW, another challenge for you. If you knew anything about statistics, you would know it's impossible to be off the charts. So, if the scale goes to ten, you can't be an eleven.

I find it interesting that this "strange" discussion has quickly become one of the most popular posts on the RESEARCH board.......

I wonder WHY?????

Subject: Does anyone want to argue with me?

J,

It’s spongebob’s fault. He’s always goofing off. When spongy speaks – people listen

There is also some valid “research” in this thread too. Did you check out all those cool formulas in the ice link? I actually read it - twice

I hope you’re not saddened, but with everybody and their girlfriend starting a message board these days it’s perplexing to grasp what is right and wrong.[:knockout:]

Bob,

You didnt offend me, my friend. I was just jokin around.

ILUVUMAN!

And Bob, that is why mine is so great because even though statistics say that it can only go to 10 my goes to 11!! Which is NICE!!!

Jason,

Do you really not know why????? It is instinctive stress relief through goofing around behaior. Typical in males ages 2-115 years of age.

Illini,

I'm glad I didn't offend you. I really felt bad before I read your response. BTW, by definition, if you're an eleven you have raised the bar my friend. So, from now on the bar goes to eleven. However, you are the only eleven. How's that???

Jason,

It's been a way too stressfull week for me to put on my thinking cap.

7 Islands, just wondering what the proper hold would be when photographing one of your "subjects?" One has to be careful when releasing these creatures you hope to never see again.[:p]
