Just got off the phone with the detective handling the theft of my equipment. It sounds like they have recovered nearly all of it!!!!!!!!!!!! I need to go down to the Sheriff's Dept to ID it, but from his description it sounds like I am getting nearly all of it back!

I tip my hat to all Law Enforcement people. To quote a PGA commercial, These Guys Are Good!

I will have more details later, hopefully the tie tack is still on my Lakewood!

Congratulations Norm!!!!!!!!! If by chance you get their names and addresses maybe a few of us could pay them a "visit" if you know what I mean. I still plan on forwarding a lure or two regardless, if you want to use them or donate them is your call.

Wow that's great news!! Not very often you actually get things back.

Might ask the police if instead of prosecution and going to court an all that if you could just have 10 minutes alone with whoever did it...

That is Faaaaaantastic Norm!!! You never see things like that working out for the best. That is great it worked out in this case. I like the idea of 10 mins alone to "prosecute" to the fullest extent of the "northwoods" law.

Most Excellent!! I'm happy for you. Thieves are the lowest form of life on earth as far as I'm concerned. Let's hope the courts don't practice catch & release in this case.

Norm- Terrific news! Am praying you get your tie tack back & they get what they deserve. Look forward to seeing you at one of the show's. We're doing the Milw. Muskie Show and the Madison Fishing Expo. If you're at either stop by the booth to chat.

Merry Christmas

I think Steve must have been working the crime desk for the Rhinelander Daily News back in the 40's and 50's. I knew there was a fedora with a press pass in the band somewhere in his background.

This news has made my day, Norm. Heck other than my kids' reactions on Christmas morning, it made my season......VERY happy for you.

If the perps aren't caught or get off light, I could always call some of my acquaintances from the past for you Norm. You know, the kind of acquaintances that specialize in "secret justice". I was always a good kid but some of my party buddies, well, let's just say they didn't grow up to be bankers
