Location: lansing, il | as most of you know i make flurocarbon leaders, this poll has nothing to do with my leaders or anyone elses in particular, but rather fluoro leaders in general. i am mainly looking for answers from people who are new to using it or trying it out.

Location: The desert | I loved your Stealth Leaders. I am as confident in them as I am with wire. The only time I probably wouldnt use fluoro is when I'm in the current in the river. Too many rocks.

I was skeptic at first cause i was wondering about the durability and such but now after using them for a year i will not go back to wire expect for jerks and gliders. They are strong nice snaps and the invisibility of the fluro is a nice addition. Highly recommended!! |

Location: Ontario, California | I made a few before my last trip. I had a fish completely inhail my bait about 15 feet from the boat and I could actually see the leader and the shread marks on it while playing it out. To my surprise when I got it in the net, the leader was actually in decent shape. I refused to use it after and tied on another flouro leader but I will definitely use it for baits that it makes sense to use it with. |

Location: New Berlin,Wisconsin,53151 | My 80lb worked fine this year but I didn't catch enough fish to have a failure. I just picked up some 50lb for Salmon leaders, I tried 80lb for flies and dispy's but it seemed to heavy. I did have SANKS loose a Bucktail when the fluoro broke at the knot on a cast, but I'm not sure how old that leader was? You do have to reworked the leader during the season but you have to do the same with wire. I'll continue to tie them.

| I didn't vote either, as I've been using flouro for years. I also make my own. Only for trolling and buctails. Anything but a straight retrieve gets wire. |

I didn't vote either because I've been using flro for 3yrs.
I now make my own with 135lb seagar, and use them for just about anything including Mag Dawgs and Weagles. mostly bigger baits.
I crimp and glue the ends but was wondering if I can also tie a knot with this heaver flro like Muskihntr ??? It seams that Muskihntr has a super high quality leader for sure. Thanks,

| I dont tink I threw anything but floro this year. Big Suzy's, Mags, Weagles, Moo Moo's, Trolling, Casting, everything. Even vertical jiggin. I have complete confidence in floro. |

| I would stick with the 130lb or higher. I had a number of fish have the bait inhaled and the fluro held up great.

They have many 50+ inchers under their belt....

| go back and reread what i wrote there GMG...you must not be able to read very well ..I never had a problem with you using fluoro on your circle hook sucker rig...I happen to use 180 lb fluoro on my own rigs right to the mouth of the sucker then 7 strand back to the hooks..not sure how I "lambasted" you for using fluoro on your rig...?

Location: Cave Run Lake KY. | Back in the 60's we just used 30 lb. mono with all most no bite offs then we went to all steel and 7 strand now Im using 100 lb. hard mono for trolling and making my own steel leaders for casting. after fishing Lake ST. Clair for the last 3 years, I think 100 lb. mono and fluocarbon is the way to go for trolling we have boated four 50" plus Muskies and a 50 lb. plus sturgeon and had no trouble at all. Marv |

Location: Minneapolis | One bite off in the two seasons I used fluoro (80#) was enough for me to go back to wire. Now I use Tyger braid, which is more flexible than fluoro, doesn't kink, and can't be cut by teeth.

Location: New Richmond, WI | I fish mostly clear lakes, so as far as I am concerned it is a have to situation to use them. Started using them 2 years ago and my numbers started going up. I have had fish totally inhale the bait on 100# Fluorocarbon and will have a few nicks in the leader after watching the leader rub back and forth inside its mouth. Have I been broken off, yes, were they nice ones, of coarse. One I was by myself the the fish went into the prop and it was cut and one did a gator roll on me past the leader. But I don't think I would of seen the fish if it was a wire leader. I have not seen a difference in stained water.
