Posts: 16632 Location: The desert | What is everyone's favorite part about the 'winternet' here on MuskieFIRST? And to the moderators will we be having these events again? Photo contest? Weekly chat guests? Random spur of the moment chats? Trivia Contest? Arguing with others about random things that seem pointless? For me I am a fan of the photo contest and the trivia contest. A great way to pass the time and learn some things and see great photos! Mike

Posts: 8832 | I call 'em "eurekas". Every once in a while, someone posts something that you never thought of, never considered, never tried, that as soon as you read it it's like a light going on. Doesn't always work, but when I read them I can't wait to try them.

Posts: 1086 | Things to look forward to this winter? Hopefully we do actually have a winter this year. If we do, things I'm looking forward to: - Icefishing for panfish, walleye and pike - Snowmobiling - Playing w/ my daughter in the snow - Continuing to rotate out the musky gear, fix, sharpen and organize anything that needs it - Gear up for Round 2 with boat mods for the next season, which include: More trolling hardware and gear and a new stereo and new speakers and new wiring, converting one of the two live wells to no longer be a live well but to be a dry well for more storage, hopefully get the trailer in to a shop for Liqui-lube hubs and fix the one tail light that's been needing fixed now for the past two years and get the surge brakes adjusted.... Posts: 880 Location: New Berlin,Wisconsin,53151 | I'm looking at Spring, that 1st Saturday in May when us Muskie1str's hit Pewaukee again to try to fullfill the dreams of winter. All those months of shows, seminars, and pool demo's end and all your equipment is reworked and ready to go. I'm not sure what it is but icefishing just doesn't look as good as it used to. Why that is I'm not sure but one thing is for sure I can't wait for this OLD MAN WINTER TO KISS MY BASS and water is back under my boat. Netman

Posts: 1286 Location: Stevens Point, Wi. | Watching my sandal stripe slowly disappear. Usually lasts til the end of Jan., but this year it seems to be fading faster. Either it wasn'nt as sunny or I didn't get out enough ( my wife would argue that theory). ![]() Edited by ghoti 12/7/2006 10:02 AM

Posts: 5874 | Rigging the new Tuffy! She should be in the Garage by Saturday. Items to be mounted so far include Lowrance X-111HD, LMS-334C, VHF Radio, Shakespeare Galaxy, Folbe Rod Holders, Trollmaster Digital Throttle control, Sony CD Stereo. Still debating on which bowmount, AP or Terrova, and if I am going to add a Minn Kota Engine mount. Then I'll hit a couple shows this winter, and get things set for the Milwaukee Expo Swap.

Not really. The boat was bought way long ago. It was the motor deal that held things up, and my unusually rare patience in waiting for it to happen. Fortunately, or unfortunately, it didn't happen as planned, and I'm back with Mercs! By the time that was determined, then I had to wait on delivery of the motors. So, maybe on Thursday, I will go pick up the boat, with motors, and begin the rigging of stuff! Now that will make for a great way to spend a few nights in the garage!

I can't wait for the perpetual posts from people who know everything, but have caught fewer muskies than they have toes on their right foot. Oh, and for the wagons of the Mfirst community to circle when somebody makes a comment or disagrees with some of these internet adorned muskie know-alls...Giddy up. Posts: 2865 Location: Brookfield, WI | I have just four toes on my right foot. I lost my pinky toe in a horrific bass fishing accident. I do, however, plan on growing my winter third hand as I did last year for the musky shows. Please note that my posts almost always lack substance when it comes to fishing, so if you find yourself disagreeing with me anonymously, you certainly will not find yourself in a serious fishing discussion. That even confuses me. Kevin The Third Hand Plan.
