OutdoorsFIRST Media will soon be launching a new website dedicated to Whitetail Deer hunting across North America. We are searching for pictures and the story of the hunt from 2005 and 2006 and articles/stories our MuskieFIRST visitors who are also deer hunters wish to contribute. Expect the format AND the sense of community at www.whitetailfirst.com to be very similar to MuskieFIRST. We will be sponsoring a Big Buck contest for the best 2005/2006 Big Buck picture as well, with details soon to be posted. Lots more to come in the near future about the planned launch!

Gather your big buck pictures, your family hunting pictures and stories and submit them to me at [email protected] for publication in the Whitetailfirst.com gallery as soon as the site is launched.

Thanks to the good folks at E-cell for the Sponsorship necessary to launch our FIRST Outdoors Website for the Hunting enthusiast.

Will this sharp turn away from strictly fishing necessitate a change in your organization's mission?

"Our Mission
OutdoorsFIRST is about the news of the day in the walleye, muskie, and ice fishing industries, reported in a fair and unique manner to an ever growing audience.

Whether we're reporting a hot story, presenting high-quality tournament photography, editing a video, or conducting a radio interview, OutdoorsFIRST's commitment to the freshwater fishing industry will always remain the same. Do it FIRST and do it better than anyone else."

There is no catch and release in hunting. m

Mikie, I keep many of the walleye I catch as they are good to eat...same with deer...I am sure whitetailfirst will encourage a continued hunting heritage with quality ethics and respect for the enviroment and wildlife....such as the other outdoorfirst sites...I am sure you have little to worry about...Ben

There is also no catch and release in the mission statement of OutdoorFirst. I should probably just let Steve and Zach handle this, mikie. You know I'm seeing a tilting to the left in your post. hehehe Wish you were going to be up at PI this weekend!

There's no 'catch and release' phrase in the mission statement, either. We'll have to add our statement the committment to reporting the news of the day in the deer hunting industry exactly as we do for the fishing business. High quality photography, audio, video, and much more, plus coverage of Whitetail shows, etc.

That's ok Steve, from what I've heard. Shep's gun has a bent barrel and he practices "Shoot and Release" or maybe that's me when I'm trying to score a duck for my Lab to retrieve.

Congrats on the new adventure, should be fun.

WaterfowlFIRST.com now there's something that makes the ol' fur on the back of my neck stand up.

Sorry my C&R statement caused a distraction. My point was, the mission statement seems to limit the organization to fishing.
The question was, will it be revised to include hunting? I think Steve answered it well and I thank you. m

Hey Steve, this is great news, I have casually browsed the internet looking for a whitetail board that is as friendly as the musky boards and haven't had much luck. I am looking forward to this project.

Good luck and God bless.

John

No idea what it scored. I just got the pictures from a friend and thought everyone would like to see this monster.

This is one of the most out of hand bucks I have seen in a while. Monster buck for sure.
