Message Subject: Chat Guest Ideas?

Posts: 7038 Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | It's getting to be about that time that we start putting together our winter chat schedule. We're of course looking to bring back some of our chat guests from the past, but looking for some ideas of people who might be able to add something new or different to our line-up. Any ideas?

Posts: 1168 | Seriously though...I'm a geek for this type of stuff but if someone like Tim Simonson, Kevin Kapucynski (sp), Frank Pratt, or any biologists out there would do a chat it could be awesome. Staying away from the "my strain is better than your strain" crap but sticking to more general biological stuff that directly concerns us when we are on the water. Also getting the likes of Norm Wild, Mike Roberts, Jason Schillinger etc. to talk about increasing size limits through the conservation congress hearings could also be very beneficial. -Bob

I can talk about the finer tactics of dough ball fishing. I can also probably get pics of my Tuffy bike that is tricked out to pull TJ's boat. I now have better brakes, 2 orange flags, blow horn to go with my bell and playing cards clothes pinned to the wheels to give me a mean sounding bike. Bob, next year for some more Great Lakes action; okay?

Posts: 32886 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The mental image of Chuck pulling TJ's boat with a tricked out bike is a liiiiiiiittttle bit disturbing. I even have this mental picture of his hat... Slamr, I'd suggest Kellie Boone from Frabill.

Posts: 2091 Location: Stevens Point, WI | We definatley need a river rat night or two as well, maybe Todd Forcier, Mike Lazers, Jason Schillinger? A few others I would like to chat with would be Roger Sabota, Richard Collins, Norm Wild, Mike Hoen, Jason Smith!

Posts: 2323 Location: Stevens Point, WI | I would be happy for the Dude to come back and join me for one of those big lake talks about night fishing for salmon! I would love to hear how you fish for those. I'm sure you can top those dough balls that you use for muskies! Dude, when are you ever going to join in on a chat? We have been missing all your interesting comments. Hope to see you soon, and maybe we can get on the water sometime this fall. But back to the original post. I like the thought of a Lowrance guy, which I think you have taken care of already Slamr. A guy like TForcier, or Reef Hawg would be great. But the guy who I really think people would enjoy would be Mr. Worrall. His guiding knowledge and his knowledge of putting big fish in the boat year and year out is simply overlooked! What about a guy like George Langley? Chad Cain, Gregg Thomas, how bout a guy like Dan Craven? His knowledge would blow some people right out of the water if you knew what kind of stick he is. Just my thought, trying to suggest people that haven't chatted before and get some new perpectives. But Mr.Worrall and Dan Craven would be my two picks. Edited by Merckid 9/18/2006 11:32 PM

Let me and Sworrall have a conversation and have someone transcribe it. Better get all of our secrets in writing before our brains turn to dust. He and I could talk about gliders for a week.....but the subject would get lost in some stories from time to time. Beav

How about a lure manufacturer AND awesome Eagle Lake / Madison muskie stick? Craig Eversoll could be an awesome asset to MuskieFirst...he has become the innovator of some of the coolest colors of BIG Joe's I've ever seen. He took the making of rubber baits to a new level. I would like him to be one of our chatters for sure!! Donnie
