| Hey Muskiefirster's, After the week from heII, and only getting 12.25 hours of fishing the first week of July, the good Lord smiled on my youngest son Colton, while fishing with me up west, on the very last night, and the very last hour. Before anyone talks badly of my picture takikng ability, remember I've had "un"successful shoulder surgery on my right shoulder 3 times, and it doesn't work so well. After an awesome fight, a crappy net job, and getting the hooks out of the fish, my arm was shaking so badly. I wish I'd have had a tri-pod. OK...I'm gonna try and upload. If it doesn't work, what should I try?? OK....it was over 200k....what next?? Donnie Edited by Donnie3737 7/13/2006 7:38 AM | |||

| Donnie - Nice job of putting your son on the fish & getting the fish in the net. Yeah the photo is a little less than what you'd desire. Still he's definitely got a big ole' grin while holding his hog. Some of the newer digital camera's have a burst feature - where they take ~ 5 photo's in quick sucession. That may help. Just a thought, i.e., I have similar problem. Another option is a adapter to fit your camera to the front pedestal boat seat. Then use the delay timer function. I created a custon adapter that lets me mount the camera on the front pedestal (the pedastal and seat are separate pieces) and hit the delay shutter feature- grab the fish and the camera goes off. Either way nice job! Have fun! Al | |||

| Hey Guys, Thanks for all the kudo's.....a spastic measurement at 48 1/2"....big girth, HUGE head! I can tell you when she hit in a figure 8, at boatside, I was still sitting down, sharpening MY hooks! I looked up and said "You got one coming buddy!" He kept his cool...sped the bait up just a bit, and it hit on the third turn of the figure 8....it was incredible. Even with my boy keeping her head down, she still jumped 3 feet out of the water, with her gills flaired, her mouth open, and girth sloshing back & forth. I KNEW it had to be 50" and 40 pounds....but, after a quick measurement, I found her to be just a bit over 48"s. One thing for sure, where we caught this fish, I have had numerous HUGE fish up, and boated 11 over 50"....I only have one of those though....it is truly a spot of "first bait through catches the fish!!" Just ask Cory!! Thanks again....my shoulder STILL hurts from the net job. I took an early stab at her....BIG mistake. Buried the hook in the hoop...I let all pressure off of her, and reached WAY OUT, and pulled the pancake flip....it worked, we won....kid one, muskies zero!! I am still thanking the good Lord He let us boat this monster!! Sincerely, Humbly, Donnie | |||

| Colton was beaming from ear to ear last night reading these....THANK YOU ALL SOOOO MUCH!!!! He has got to be the humblest kid around. He went 29-3 his first year in wrestling last year....took 3rd in the state for 11/12 year olds. When he was given his award, in front of hundreds and hundreds of people, he said "I have some awesome coaches, and great teammates...it was only because of them I did as well as I did." So, maybe as far as fishing goes, you might be right, a chip off the ol' block. As my children grow, I become a little more humble, realizing how much better at sports, grades, etc., than I was. You have no idea how proud I am of him....I must be the luckiest man alive because my 3 children are the greatest thing that ever happened to me...and the fact they ALL like muskies makes my life even better!!!! Still trying to get mama a muskie....she likes laying on the deck and getting sun, instead of casting those "big hooked pieces of plastic." Sincerely, More Humbly, Donnie | |||
