The nice thing about making custom lures for people is that they can be creative and make something THEY like. Mike Roberts requested this one... that we are calling MR Walleye. Its an attempt at making the Bucher Miller Perch pattern on a spinnerbait.

All LongTales are custom made... but it seems most of the special requests we've had are just plain UGLY. What's up with that???

Who cares, as long as the fish like it. They all look ugly after a few muskies get a hold of them. Pat

Roberts and Beaver(well, how can we blame beaver exactly, he never really escaped the 70's alive after all...)have really bad taste, and...no sense of color or elegance.

The only thing I see here that would make me remotely hot, IF I was a southern musky, would be the middle one in the group of three, the one with the ah so subtle fliff of chartreuse pouting amidst the white virginity of the dressing. Of course, had the designer had any breeding or taste, sniff sniff, that fliff of slightly tawdry, streetwise chartreuse, would have been played instead by a slightly embarassed pink blush to go with the virginal white of the skirt.

Jason those baits look awesone. Have you made and tried a tandem willow with a small colorado on the shaft? You can burn them with little drag yet feel some good vibration.

Thanks ToddM..... and yes.... Beaver ordered some tandems with a willow blade. I personally have not fished with that blade combination..... yet.

Confidence is a vital aspect for success. If an ugly or pretty bait gives you confidence... it can be a big help.

Fine details are probably more for the angler than the fish.... but considering the "confidence factor" those finer details can sometimes be what makes the difference.

Hopefully MuskieFIRST's Lambeau will have the "confidence factor" going with this custom request..... cause I think its in contention for one of the ugliest (heh heh)

Here is a Double Shot in the Lone Ranger pattern tied up for my buddy Todd Forcier. This one is actually quite pretty and should match the white bass hatch on Petenwell quite nicely.
