Where is everyone going? I will be hitting the Longville area looking for the first slime of the year! Good luck and be courteous on the water.

I'll be in the Metro, probably fishing little old Eagle. A wedding in Winona is limiting my MN opener.

My wife works this weekend so all I have is a couple hours Saturday evening on one of the metro lakes. Better than nothing, eh?

If this post is an accurate indication, half the musky hunters in the state will be in the Longville area. It's going to be a zoo up there! I'll be working, otherwise the Longville lakes were in my plans as well. I might be able to sneak up there for a few hours on Sunday. Otherwise my opener might not be for awhile yet.

Leave some muskies for me in the Longville area! My cabin is on Little Boy but I will be fishing the metro area until the next weekend. I hope it doesn't get too pounded. Good luck and let me know how you do.

I'll be taking Graduation photos. It stinks, but I couldn't get out of it. I'd be on Detroit Lake, if I was fishing, and I'll be heading there on the 10th. Can't wait to get out there.

Back to my hook sharpening.......

I expect lots of folks will wander over to Baby lake too. They just say they're going to fish Wabedo and Little Boy, but they know where the best fishing is up there.

You know where I'll be.

Derrys. Sorry man, but EVERYONE in your family should know better then to:
1. Plan something on muskies opener.
and
2. Expect you and/or your brother to show-up at something they planned for muskie opener.

True Treats. I think Brett is going to "Plant". I'll take a "Paying gig" over the opener just this one time. My boat is in the shop anyway. Good luck to you Shawn. Have you looked at a lot of Pontoons? I hear those Party Bardges are real nice. Ha ha.

Metro area...not sure which lake yet. The reefs should be up and the water temps too... could be good.

So many choices!

Headed up to the Big "V" with GMAN to hook into some good fish. Hope to give the Lunker Baits a good workout. Going to see what the "Bootlegger" can do...

I'll be in Longville area as well, but on a lake none of you are able to fish unless you stay at the resort... :-)...or....if you own land on the lake.

Have fun fighting the crowds... Best fishes to ya...

Yeah Derrys, I'm looking into the party barge. I've found a couple, but I've been dishing out cash at an alarming rate lately. I figure that by fall I'll find somebody that's needing to unload one on the cheap. I'll be the mailman of tonka

Hey Guys,

I'll start Saturday morning on Detroit Lakes and than drive up to hit Mantrap and possibly
Elk. I'm thinking that with this hot weather I might start with a topwater bait either the chopper
or Maas Marauder from Salmo. Good luck to everyone and be safe.

Don't forget Bulldogs on DL. They took a couple 40's last year there on the opener. Shiver's Point produced both fish. Good luck.

Now there's a twist on a Christmas Carol that I can relate to. LOL Good Humor, Treats!

I didn't get out over the weekend as I wasn't feeling that good. Going up to little Island lake on Monday, the one south of Duluth. A friend has been pestering me for 4 years to go there. Not sure that I want to, but am going just to get him to shut up. LOL But then it's a smaller lake and the fish might be in the summer peak period rather than a post spawn/presummer pattern, so it's worth a shot. I'd rather fish the pond or W.B. as I know there's big fish in those. Not sure about Island.
