Subject: MN Expo Lure Swap Change

The lure swap will be back at Bee Bops again this year after all. (Long Story)

I need everyone's help making one final decision on the event. Which Package sounds best?

Package A - Everyone who pays $20.00 for a wristband at the show gets free pizza, soda, and beer from 7 to 9 PM. They will also be given a ticket with their wrist band which will give them the chance to win a variety of baits and/or door prizes.

Package B - Everyone who pays $15.00 for wrist band at the show will get free pizza, soda, and beer from 7 to 9 PM. No door prizes.

A couple notes:
1. All profits will go to the Oberfoell family.
2. All wrist bands must be purchased at the show. (We can not sell wrist bands at Bee Bops)

Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

- Josh

i can drink at least $20 worth of beer in 2 hours.

$20 is a more than fair price considering the cause.

Troy/Josh, Muskie Mojo can sell wrist bands at our booth if you want.

The Bald man sounds lihe he needs to buy two wristbands...Remember you are drinking for Mason.

I wish I could come up and throw back a few with you Minnesota nuts.

Go with option one.

Josh, either package works in my mind. Consider marketing the swap in ways other than the internet. Not every musky fisher is on here. In the past, HH posted flyers around to increase interest and that seemed to work pretty well.

We will have flyers at the Blaine, we are just trying find out what people are willing to spend, we didn't want to go $20 and no one shows up. So everyone is pretty good with $20, for free beer and pizza for 2 hours. If you payed over the counter= 5 beers at $3=$15 and $5 for pizza. The pizza's will be Bebops, not domino's or other delivery.

Thanks

Josh,
I will gladly donate some lures for drawings/door prizes if you go that route. Contact me to arrange as it looks like I might not be able to make the Swap.

I'd have to encourage 15$ as I'm already going for cheap baits, but if most want to pay 20, no fuss.

I can't make it there this year but It's worth 20 bucks just to walk into be-bops. Awesome place to have a swap.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. We are going with the $20.00 dollar package. I will be working at the Lindy/Beckman booth on Friday and Saturday and will have wrist bands available. Troy and Happy Hooker will be selling them at the Mepps Booth and Twin Cities Chapter Booth as well.

I have have contacted most of my sponsors and the donations are becoming to come. If you would like to donate something send me or Troy Z an e-mail or just bring the items to the show and hand them over. (A "heads-up" is always nice.)

I am working on a flyer that should be completed by this weekend. I will cut and paste the flyer on all of the message boards and have paper copies available for the show.

Let me know if I'm forgetting anything. Going on sleep deprivation program right now.

Hey boys. You can count me in on the $20 ... UNLESS, my MIGHTY BEARS of White Bear Lake are playing in the state hockey championship that night.

I hope I didn't jinx them ... they still have a BIG game tonight to get past Hill Murray to even make it to state.

GO BEARS !!!

The poster/flyer is coming along great. I would like to thank Joe Mellot (aka the "flyer wizard") for his help on this project. We are putting the polishing touches on it and working out a couple minor details.

G-man and Cady I am counting on you for those donations. (Thanks a bunch)

Everybody else who's planning to come. . . . please purchase your bracelets early. I think if everyone wore their bracelet at the show on Saturday it would help us sell more.

People will see them and ask what they are for. People will also hopefully see some well known people in the muskie community wearing them which may cause them to buy one simply to hang out and rub elbows with the pros. Just a thought.

Best regards.

Hey guys,

The flyer is done. Is there any way to post it as an attachment? The cut and paste method doesn't seem to be working.

Steve the file would not be legible as a JPG so I will FTP it to a server and then publish a link so people can download a PDF in the morning.

Great Job on the Flyer !

I had a buddy ask me if the wrist band is Required to get into the swap.......

I explained the baby Mason situation and the beer/pizza/prizes- but he still wanted to know if it was required to get in.

Anyone know the answer?

Hooker, Josh, or Troy- can you answer the question above?

Since the wristbands must be purchased at the expo-

does that mean you cannot attend the swap without one?

Or does it mean you are not part of the donation/pizza/beer/ prizes deal but would still be allowed into the swap?
