Anyone know of other smaller Musky shows, like La Crosse or New London? It's way out of my buget to have a botth at bigger shows. For those of you that do not attend smaller shos, you are missing out. It is the only exposure some of the Basement guys ever get.

Have you looked into the "Extreme" shows produced by Jim Stella?

actually another way for the small bait makers to get their baits seen is to particapate in the various 'poolsides' that are popular put on by muskie clubs,,where you can come and demo your baits, theres a huge one in the twin citys that draws a big crowd that our club will do this spring

Yah eh! Some of us smaller Musky orientated companies can't afford the $450 tables at the larger shows..If anybody knows of the smaller shows post here or add them to the calendars on some of the other muskie sites..Randy

If you're willing to drive a couple of hours from LaCrosse, the Madison show at the Expo is pretty good. It is not a Musky-only show but does have multiple vendors selling Musky baits. The show is usually some time in March.

DeSoto, WI bound in (hopefully) 5 years - know of any good Musky lakes / rivers in that area??

I'm generally looking for shows that the booth price is under $100, and in the state of WI, or Northern Il, or Upper Mich preferablby WAY under $100, LOL).

The Madison Fishing EXPO that Jeff_J says is February 24, 25, & 26. This is hardly a "small" show. It had a huge draw and I think over 30K attend the 3 days event. It is the premier fishing show in the midwest!

Try checking the 12 Apostles Musky Club in Stevens Point. I think they still have a show. Pretty sure it's a one day event and pretty well attended last time I went.

The 12 Apostles Musky Club show did not happen last year. I think it will no longer happen. It used to be a really rockin show, but declined over the last several years of its existence.

The La Crosse show is a great "smaller" show and booth space is only $55.00. They should have a good draw this year as I have already seen the ads for the show in Muskies Inc.

There is a very nice single day show that is held on a Sunday at the High School in New London, WI in middle to later March. They have a poolside demonstration program. As you indicated it is mainly small basement lure manufacturers. The show typically brings in two main speakers, which has been the likes of Tom Gelb. I think Steve Heiting and Steve Herbeck have been there as well.
It is well worth your time to attend. The biggest problem with the show is that if the Wolf River ice is gone, many potential attendees will be walleye fishing!

Another way to get exposure is to talk to us at the Iron Man Musky Trail. We will be promoting our sponsors at the show in Milwaukee along with Links on our web site, and a few other promotional things we are doing to help promote them. I don't want to let the cat out of the bag but we have some great things coming for 2006.

We are non profit ! We are not looking to line our pockets from the sponsors. Everything goes back to the fisherman that fish our tournaments. Believe it or not we do it because we love the sport and the fun we have meeting new people.

Contact me if you think you would be interested in hearing what we have to offer.

I will hopefully make it to both the LaX show and the New London. If I can scrounge up enough gas money!

I was aware of both the La Crosse show and the New London show, and we are doing both. I was looking for other smaller venue shows. I am interested in helping out the IMTT. Please send info to: [email protected]

Don't they do a show at crazy d's tackle too? That might be a possibility.

If they have the show at the sportsman's wharehouse in green bay, that is another place.

Correct, the 12 Apostles show was not held last year, nor will it this. In place of the show, we had a steak feed night, and it really was a hit!

The 12 show used to be awesome. I met alot of great folks there, and the speakers let me pick their brains for hours. I wish it was still the way it used to be before they turned it into a musky+ golf show.

Hi Todd,

No show at Crazy "D" last spring and I've got a call into Ron and I'll ask him what the plan is for this spring.

Mike,
If memory serves me correctly, I think last years admission price was $7.00. Even if it is $10.00, it's well worth the price.
