| What new lures did you try in 2005 that you'd recommend to your friends in 2006? |

Location: Ogden, Ut | I discovered gliders. I had never fished them prior to this year. I got my biggest fish this season (so far) on a Castor. I like the way the Perka looks too. And Muskie Treats.
Most of the lures I got this year weren't new, but were just new to me. Old news to everyone else. (Rad Dog spinnerbaits, DDD, Slammer deep-diver).

Location: Lincoln UK | Trueglide Guppies, work them fast work them slow, nothing even comes close. Not only just about the nicest action you could want but perfect paints and topcoats. Mini hustlers are great too, can't wait to try Joe's other baits.

| At the beginning of 2005...I made a New Years Resolution in regards to fishing. And that was to try new and different baits that I had not tried before, had not heard before, had not owned before and/or had in my tackle box for years but had no confidence in.
My numbers were way down this year due to this trial and error season with baits...but..I learned a ton. That...and I wasn't on the water nearly as much this year. |

Location: NW burbs of Chicago | Andrew had me use a Nessa by Muskynightmare Tackle while we were in Indiana this year. I LOVED it. I am lazy and don't like to work a lure, but this one kind of wiggled from side to side on its own. I had three fish come up on it, and usually, I see none.
I can't wait to throw it again next year!

Castors, (Vanilla and Kick-Ass varieties). Trueglides (everything Joe makes), Bikinibaits, Minteer ultimate globe, weagle (baby). For me, it was the year of the new casting baits.
Just can't get over the QUALITY of whats out there today.
My rubber arsenal is weak, and i plan to change that in 2006. Yeah, i know i'm late!!

| not a new bait, but used them a ton this year and loved them. holcombe tackle low rider and magnum lowrider. hard to find a good topwater for big waves, these are the best that i have found for that use. |

Rylure Creeper- Always fished Wick creeper but I am happy to have acquired this creeper as well.
Snowcrest globe- again, always fished Wick globes but after hearing my buddies I have got to pick one up. GREAT chatter. |

Location: Presque Isle Wisconsin | BY far the new bait that consistently produced muskies for me in stained water situations was theMusky Innovations Jammer crankbait.The bill angle ,body shape,and loud rattles produced a fantastic action.Perch/gold was the best color.Its easy to retreive because of the bill angle and the lure can be worked to about 7'.Pauses,jerks,rips,reels,and bumping cover all worked for my clients.The only problem was that it leaked at the hook hangers.A problem they now say is corrected,but that didnt help the five I had already purchased.I was not thrilled by the customer service regarding that problem.I used epoxy to fix the two baits that hadnt filled with water and they work fine.
Towards the end of the year Roger waters from H2O baits sent me a Nitro jerkbait with a bill on it. I loved the action and caught four fish with it to 42",but didnt have it long enough to really evaluate it fairly,but it has the exact action I like in a jerbait.Cant wait to use it next season.Great wiggle and body roll when retreived.

| Mann's Super Stretch 1 - Minus.
Paid $6.95 each.
6" length, won't dive deeper than 1 foot.
I like to work it erratic jerks, or a stop and reel with a twitch.
Looking forward to fishing it more next year, as I bought late fall for my nine year old grandson to use. It should be great for him to use.....and I became fond of it. Fun to fish.
The only problem I found was the middle hook would sometimes foul. I plan to replace hooks with VMC hooks.

| I'd also like to add Keith Worrall's Violent Strike Mag Willow spinnerbait. With the mod Steve described all I can say is WOW! The thump and water displacement that bait puts out is phenomenal. It'll definately be my go-to bait in Canada next year. |

Location: Lafayette, IN | I know there are lots of great quality baits out there that I don't have or know about but "Hoosier Handmade" has won me over in spades!
In 2 outings with Don's "Shad Gliders" I CPR'd my 2 biggest fish to date, a 43 and a 47.5. WOW, I love those baits! And so easy to work.

| I liked the Bucher Slopmaster buzz bait. Though the "clacker" gave me troubles on 2 out of 3, it just took some work with a pliers to get them to work properly. The Slopmaster spinnerbait worked the way it was supposed to and it was very easy to buldge. Though I only caught pike and a couple of big smallies with them, it's only because I wasn't throwing them in the right place. They will produce. Great around milfoil and reeds and over weeds. Another good straight retrieve option.
