Location: McHenry, IL | Worked Bluff, Marie, and Channel Saturday found warmest water at dawn in Bluff and raised two mid thirty fish. Nothing the rest of the day until landed a 5lb bass on black and orange funky chicken on the windy side of a rocky point. Anyone else do anything? I know some of you boys had to be out there (lots of boats).

Location: Kenosha, Wi. | Was out there with a buddy of mine and we worked Catherine, Channel, Marie and Petite. Picked up a nice bass also, not as big, but had some follows on Catherine by some 30" plus fish. We did see a really big fish cruising the shallows of Channel before noon but she did'nt stick around to long. It sure was nice getting out on the water again. |

Location: Illinois | I was out there Saturday. I was surprised to see that the weeds were plentiful and green. They must have been leftovers from last year. These types of weeds don't rip off. They just coat your lure with a mosst strand. On my second drift of the year I caught a 45 on a glider. I threw out behind the boat and was working it fairly quickly. It was a shock to say the least as I had no expectations. I'll take it to make up for the strings of fishless days the chain gives me. I had no net and the fish had the bait totally engulfed except for the rear treble. Luckily, with jaw spreaders it was easy to work on the fish. The problem is the rear trebles got caught in my forearm. I put a stick on the fish as I had his tail and swoosh. Off she went. Great way to start the year and a first for me catching a fish my first time out of the year. Later, on the same drop belly, I caught a 25 ich walleye on a figure 8. So, all you guys fishing the pwt there is a bone for you. Water temp is 57 already. No other muskies boated or seen. Water is low but no problem with the Thirsty Turtle launch. |

| Will be heading out this weekend to fish Channel and Catherine, may venture down to
Marie and Bluff. Will be fishing in my 16 foot aluminum boat. If you see two big guys in an aluminum boat honk. always like to see fellow muskie fisherman on the lake. Will post my results.

Location: Antioch, IL | Got out for a few hours yesterday. Waters temps mostly around the mid 50's. Threw smaller jointed cranks shallow, worked a manta shallow to mid and pulled a tiger tube on the bottom. Nice to be on the water, would have been even better to see a fish. I always start out saying "I think I'll just go for some panfish today" and some how I end up with a C3 in my hand. |

| casted for about 3 hours today, threw my whole tackle box at them. didn't get any fish or see any fish. couple other boats out targeting muskies as well but with the same luck. started on the north end of channel on the weedbeds, throwing my topraider and suick. worked to the point and tryed the sanbar for an hour without luck. hopefully some warmer weather and some rising water temps can help my luck.

Location: Chicago | Fished on Saturday. Water temp was 57. Lake seemed down about a foot. Lots of Walleye boats out for the
upcoming tourney this week.
I fished with Husky Jerk who caught a 25" within 30 minutes, he also had a mid 30's hit boat side which got off.
I raised a smaller fish about 30inches. and missed a very large swirl on my bait which left a tooth in the bait,
however there was not a tug so I did set the hook, must have bit it and spit it rather quickly.
It was a beautiful day and look forward to getting out again this Friday!

| We lauched at the State Park and headed to the north bay on Channel. Started at the beach and worked our way up to the shallows. I started out throwing a Crappie patterned Phantom and my parter was throwing a bucktail. We were in about 25 FOW casting toward shore. Also took a few casts into the deep water. No action. Changed baits a few times, but still nothing. We decided to put on some deep divers and troll to the next spot. Once again, Nothing. The next stop was at the south east corner of Catherine working north towards the creek inlet. We started working deep water and then moved towards shore at the row of piers by the subdivisions boat lauch. As we moved in, I started throwing my Weagle. I am now a believer. A few casts in(about 10:15), I had a 30's fish hit it, but made an awesome jump and threw the hook. We continued to work North without any other action. We were sitting in about 7 feet of water casting all around to the shallows and the deeper water. Water was very clear and the weeds were still about 2 feet under, for the most part. |

Location: Des Moines IA | No I do mean 68 degrees ..... In the shallows my temp read 68. I talked to another guy fishing musky .... he said he found 67 ...... So it wasn't my temp freakin out ..... found 60 degree water in 20 FOW, the warm weather really made a difference the past couple of days ..... lowest I saw was 54 ...
over 30 FOW ...... Thursday the same areas were pushing 60 .... 59 was the highest I saw Thursday .....

p.s. sherk tells me the walleye guys are catching muskies on beetle spins. I suggest you have Rob throw a light beetle spin on his heavy gear. That should get him mumbling under his breath. |

| Got out last MOnday 4/19. Water temps were mostly mid to upper 50's. Mid 60's in some shallow channels. Lost one near the boat and caught one on a baby Jerko. Saw one other one that just seemed curious but not hungry. |
