I am offering the following for auction to raise funds for Ashton's first surgery and the associated expenses...

REALLY new...new...new...
Chuck has added two G Loomis muskie rods if the bid goes to $1000. These rods retail at 200 each, so now the package is worth well over $1500....let's see if we can get the bid over a grand!
NEW NEW NEW!!!!!

I am adding two days lodging and meals at Worrall's Hideout in the Woods off Hiway 8 east...35 foot trailer with everything you need and meals cooked by your host...ME!! ( I am, by the way, a killer cook; venison and fish is on the menu)

One pack Violent Strike MuskieFIRST branded spinnerbaits. $40

One MuskieFIRST XL T Shirt. $ 28,899

ADDDED ITEMS!!!

2 Hughes River Baits--$90
1 Knippex Bolt cutter--$45
1 Pacemaker topwater--$20
1 Holographic Reef Hawg--$20

I will get the ball started Steve, I will open the bidding at $200.00. Is this a trip for one or two people? If for two someone match the bid and you can have the shirt and spinners providing I get one of the baits to atleast try.

OK, EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chuck Altamore just emailed me that he will add a guide day to the 'pot' here, so the deal is now a day with me on Pelican, and a day with a true gentleman muskie Pro 'up north'. This will make a fine guided two day trip for two generous muskie anglers, and Beav is going to toss in some of his bucktails, too!!!

This is now at least a $650 value, let's see what we can do. I would ask that 50% be paid upfront because of the immediate need for Ashton, and the rest when we meet![] [:)] [:0] [8)] [::)] [::)]

Greg,
Your situation is not really a problem. Heh Heh... I'm sure most of the vendors down there will help though. I'll be in the Hellraiser Tackle booth, so stop by.

Thanks, Larry and Jamie!! The pot thickens...the total package is now worth over $800!!! I have a bid for $250 so far, let's get this thing going, and see if we can hit $500...

By the time we close the bidding, the winning bidder will have to have a suit case to haul away all the prizes...and GOOD stuff, too!![]

I will maych Greg Morse's bid of $250 if he is willing to share the boat with me. That would be $250.00 each. This would take the bid to $500.00 right now. How about it Greg, is it a deal?

I have a couple of more items to throw into the pot. A Baby Shallow Raider in Clown and a slightly used 6" Perch color Grandma crank, an original. One more thing to toss in a cool CD of rockin fishing tunes. Hope this little bit helps.

Don't see how I could ever make it to the Great White North being a poor boy in W.Va. so all I can do is pray and donate a couple of lures to the cause.
Got a Super Shad Rap in Shad color and a old Grandma 9" in bumblebee if you just let me know where to send them. Both lures are in very good shape . Back to the top, please.

$275 for my half, muskyone you in??!!! $550 total bid

Subject: Ashton Fund New Item Auction

I'm going to put a half bid in of $350 if there is anyone out there who will match mine. It would require fishing with a short, cantankerous, ex-military dentist who really knows little about musky fishing. Come on guys this is going to involve a flight down from Alaska for me and a lot of baleful wailing from my wife.

Greg I am in for the $275, hope we win this thing. But...........if I am not part of the winning bid however I will donate a couple of suprises for the winner. Value of the items to be at least another $100.00. What will the items be? Let me see................could be a trolling motor battery...............could be lures..................how about.....oh well you get the picture.

From $575 to $700, thats quite a jump if I'm reading this correctly. If $700 is the current bid, I will match you DocEsox ($350 for my half)I think its worth it, can't believe I have money left after the show, lol. Brian i would also hope that if we land another 70#er like you caught before, that you please keep your clothes on.[]

Well Greg, you just busted out of my league on this one. I was about blowing the whole wad on the 575 bid. No way I can match 700. I'm out, but think about me while your out there at least. Good luck too.

[:0] "If I were a rich man..." When you think about what you're getting for your money, it's still a great deal.
Way to step up and help out guys.

Everyone, Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts. Ashton's first surgery is Thursday morning January 17th, down in Madison. He will be getting tubes in his ears to drain the fluids and his lip will be put together into one lip instead of the three parts he now has. The tubes hopefully will help so that he will finally pass a hearing test. Has failed all previous hearing tests. The lip adhesion will hopefully make it easier for my "little Trooper" to eat, and cheaper too. The current bottles he requires cost $20.00 apiece and they are only good for four weeks. Ashton will be in the hospital for one or two days depending on how well he comes through this surgery.

I thank you all for your continued support and for all the prayers. He needs every prayer we can offer. As Ashton's grandma, I can tell you I'm very nervous at the thought of my little 3 1/2 month old grandson going under anesthesia and the surgeon's knife. While we all know it is for the best, we still cannot help but worry. I know my daughter and her husband are more nervous than I, understandably so. They have to take their son down there, and hand him off to surgeons, and pray the outcome will be all we've hoped for.

I just wanted to thank you all for your continued support and prayers, it means the world to my whole family. God Bless You All.

Sincerely,

Jody Holbrook
