Posts: 20194 Location: oswego, il | Mine is a custom 9" Grandma with a long curved metal lip made by Raze1 who was a regular on this site years ago. It's foiled and clear coated. The long lip makes it slightly sink and it's very erratic jerking and twitching. I have another just like it but with a shorter straight metal lip and floats. Has a traditional action and not such a crazy way. 33 Muskies on it and has held up really well. Edited by ToddM 3/24/2021 2:46 PM

Posts: 390 | I have a viper and a 10" phantom softy that account for likely 50-60% of my fish over 40". I am not sure how many on each as I don't keep track but I would guess around 20 to 30. I want/need to retire the viper but I cant find replacements and I believe they stopped producing them. Edited by bbeaupre 3/24/2021 2:27 PM

Posts: 267 | I fish a river a lot that has a lot of vegetation and I wouldn't go without a Rad Dog spinnerbait. I've probably caught more muskies on that bait than any other. Obviously I've caught more on bucktails, but it would be a variety of bucktails, not one specific one.

Posts: 372 Location: SW Ohio | Most (90%) have come on a crank bait. No one brand or model in particular. They run from Duckett’s squarebill to KVD 8.0 to Depthraiders. 2”-8”. Rubber has accounted for only a handful and blades slightly more.

Posts: 157 Location: West Central WI | Slopmaster, including a 50.75" muskie in 2019 on LOTW. I'm never in my boat without one pole rigged with a Slopmaster. All of mine are modified with a snap swivel to quickly swap blades, and I use an 8" Kalins grub.

Posts: 386 | I’ve rebuilt a double ten probably close to a dozen times that definitely has the most fish. The skirt is just a mess of twisted flashabou, it’s probably like a 1/3 of its original volume. I’ve even built a replacement for it that I’ll give to friends to fish, with the same bead/weight placement, same blades and same colors in the skirt. It’s seen a handful of follows while the OG continues to produce. 100% convinced it has to do with the confidence and attention I give it when it’s in the water at this point. Someday, something will happen to the OG that’lol force me to use the imposter and I’m sure it’ll start producing.

Posts: 426 Location: Perryville, MO | My first thought was the same as Shroomskie's, but for me then it would without doubt be crickets. However, in the spirit of the Todd's intention I would certainly say a Nutbuster. Edited by hawkeye9 3/29/2021 9:20 AM

Posts: 1035 | This is going to sound stupid, but..... In all of my years, I have little doubt that the Mepps Giant Killer, all chartreusse, has put more fish into my net than any other one bait in one color. I had forgotten about that thing until 2 years ago. Put it on, caught a musky in 10 minutes. I don't know what it is about that single blade, single treble bait, but fish eat it. And it has been many of those baits, in that same color. It wasn't just one "lucky" Giant Killer. It's crazy.

Let's not leave out it's diminutive sibling the Mepps #5.. very effective postfrontal, clear water, early season..
