Posts: 32886 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Sue and I are going to spend the night here with a venison roast for dinner and then a movie. Ice fishing for sure New Yerar's Day, hoping to get Sue into a school of gills or crappies. What are your plans for the holiday?

Location: Athens, Ohio | A buddy of mine's 50th birthday is Dec. 31, so I'll be visiting him. Not much of a party since he's behind bars. Then, it looks like I have some fishing to do to try for one of those photo plaques. Good chance to try out my new depthfinder. m

Posts: 1916 Location: Greenfield, WI | We will be located between the grill and kitchen. I have some magnum T-bone steaks which came from "Babe The Blue Ox", (may he rest in peace!) which need testing for the precise amount of medium rareness!! While I am monitoring the beef partial incineration, the front deck of my Tuffy Esox Magnum will serve as my coaster for a brandy old-fashion sweet with big olives, which I will have handy for medicinal purposes in case of a fearsome arctic "snow snake bite"! Hurry up 2004, Happy New Years! Edited by Steve Van Lieshout 12/27/2003 11:11 AM

Posts: 1247 Location: On the Niagara River in Buffalo, NY | My wife dragged me into Sears last night placed a new suit in my hand, yes I had to pay for it too. Then she tells me I have to cough up another $360 Canadian for New Years at some Country Club north of Toronto,2 hour drive. 4:00 pm to 4:00 am and I don't drink anymore, that sounds like fun!By the time I add up the total cost of New Years I could have been in Florida for a week fishing for the same money.Guess I will have to make a few Musky Expos to make up for this one!Steve,Ice fishing does sound like a much better deal! Posts: 1764 Location: Ogden, Ut | I (we) will probably spend the early evening at a friends place for a little fellowship, then quickly back home and spend the rest of the night at home with my wife and 2 boys. Definately no driving after about 7:30 or so... I have to admit that the roast/steak/lobster dinner thing does sound very appealing too... K.

Posts: 2091 Location: Stevens Point, WI | Unfortunately I work night shift New Years Eve, it's usually a very ugly night in the ER. I will be intoxicated by the end of the shift from all of the ETOH fumes from the patients who partied too much!!

Posts: 7039 Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | One lame party with one of my few non-fishing friends left (its going to be so lame, its embarrasing to describe, just suffice with its a "camping themed" party) then off to another party....where things could be MUCH better. Just got a bottle of Hennessey from my boss, if both parties turn out like Cat Poo....I have my fallback!

Posts: 921 | Was supposed to be a snowmobile trip to Web Lake, WI. Now we are still going, but probably leaving the sleds at home. Getting liquored up at the Cabaret Bar and then stumbling back 2 blocks to the cabin where I am sure I will just pass out on the linoleum in the kitchen.

Posts: 32886 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Confirmed, Sue has bought the shrimp, and I have taken out the venison. It is the Grill for the dinner and the Couch and a movie for these Old Farts tonight. At midnight, I will fire my 50 caliber, as it needs to be discharged and was not, no deer that met the criteria crossed her red dot lit path this second season.
