| Finishing up opening week of musky fishing in Vilas County. 3 of us fishing for the week caught caught 15 and saw almost as many. One of the better opening weeks we can recall in many years. Water temps in the mid 60s. Fish were primarily in shallow weeds. Sizes were in the upper 30 inches to low 40s. Most effective lures were single bladed bucktails, small crank baits, hawg wobblers and small turbo prop topwater. |

| We did Vilas County as well THur thru Sat Morning. Managed to boat two fish a 35 and a 46. Front really dropped the water temps but found a few fish in warmer bays which also got us out of some of the wind. This was this gentlemens first muskie and he was very leery of handling the fish as shows in the pic. After a really quick picture I didn't even want to bump the fish so she was revived and took off with a big splash.
