Posts: 119 | All of the northern dudes seem to hate pike .... Maybe its because we don't have pike down this way but I'd be overjoyed to catch fish like that on a semi-regular basis lol

No kidding half the people on this forum can never give a compliment without questioning size or critiquing something.

I second the 'really?' part of all the critical commentary....take my word for it life is too short.

Posts: 1080 | Awesome fish!!! I would be MORE than happy to catch Pike like that. I have zero problem with catching Pike. I enjoy catching them as well. It's threads and comments from others, like this, that prevent a lot of people from even bothering to take the time to post photos of fish they've caught. It's threads and comments from others, like this, that send people away from great web sites like this. It's gotten very old, over the years, weeding through the threads full of nay-sayers and people overly critiquing and overly discounting people's catches. Posts: 785 | I've been noticing Jason and a few others have been sticking some nice mid 40 class pike out there this year. European caliber? No, but not sure where in Canada the fish are so consistently big that a fat 45"er wouldn't get some love.

Posts: 32886 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Mid 40's would be a good one in most places across the pond. We've had some visitors fish the US and Canada, and they tell me 40" is a big first goal for them, and a 20# fish is really making the grade.

Posts: 294 Location: Sakatchewan,Canada | Not bashing anything, just pointing out the hold in that photo makes the fish appear larger yet. Simple facts, no bashing, people can hold fish however they like. Jason has a picture of another pike that looks equally impressive if not more so.

It was a 5 pounder but looks like a 2 pounder because the camera was too far away!! UGH!
