Posts: 841 Location: Southwest PA | A bunch of fat bowfin which all fought well for a minute or two. Didn't get to pursue the larger toothy critters for lack of preparation due to emergency situations with localized flooding in our warehouse... Edited by Tommis 6/19/2017 10:01 AM

Posts: 114 | Absolutely Terrible!.... Worst start to a season I've ever had. Only seen two fish in 26 hours of fishing. Zero strikes. Fishing metro waters. I think the lack of stocking and fishing pressure is starting to show.... People withing my fishing circle are saying the same.

Posts: 11 | I don't think the TC metro is bad right now. Just different tactics are working. Got a 46' mid-day Saturday after losing two fish earlier in the weekend.

Posts: 132 | Kong - 6/19/2017 1:04 PM I don't think the TC metro is bad right now. Just different tactics are working. Got a 46' mid-day Saturday after losing two fish earlier in the weekend. I have tried different tactics. One thing I have not done is fish mid-day. Maybe that warming water is the ticket. I know I am far from alone in thinking the metro has been very tough this year.

Posts: 3157 | Most metro lakes I've been on are mid 70s I don't think warming water is key,,it's pretty primetime right now,,I think it's a lot of nite nite 11-4am is what I'm hearing if your into catching fish like that. I'm not.

Posts: 424 Location: MN | Finally put one in the net last weekend (45.5) - also mid day Saturday TC metro. It hasn't been terrible for me this year - seen a decent number of fish and had 3 bites that didn't connect before catching this one. Somewhat of a grind, but not dead.

Posts: 132 | Yea I'm seeing fish, they just seem to have no interest at the boat. Last time out (when I saw one) was the slowest outing for my boat. So I agree, it's not DEAD, but nothing what I am typically used to in June around here. I have spent some time open water trolling, so maybe I am just being dramatic. But that can happen when you wait six months to chase them and are greeted with a slow start. It can only get better.

Posts: 457 Location: Minneconia | It's not different tactics. Overall, the metro waters I fish have been in steady decline for the last 5 or 6 years in my opinion. Same #'s stocked, much more pressure. Simple.

Posts: 1209 | Mid day Sunday (2:30) was moon down.... Moments before the storm at 6pm I had a 32 ignore my rules and eat out about two turns of the handle. I used the eye measurement and didn't put it in the net either.

Posts: 114 | Went out again last night for 4 hours in TC. Going on my 4th trip without seeing a fish. Tried all different tactics, working different depths, retrieve speed, lures different spots. Something is defiantly going on with these fish here in the TC. Have not heard very many good reports from my network. If this keeps up in the future I might say the Hell with fishing in June

Posts: 221 | After seeing all the pressure we get in Western MN I can't imagine the pressure in the metro. but... If i had to guess those lakes are still full of fish too. They are just very educated and don't bite unless you get creative.
