Posts: 7105 Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | We live in a world where people believed that a child sex ring was being run out of the basement of a pizza joint with the full knowledge of ex-senators and the such (while the FBI does nothing)...and you're surprised at this website? *muskies do eat walleyes, the pizza place doesnt actually have a basement.

Posts: 359 Location: Western U.P. | This kind of ignorance never ceases to amaze me. Anyone going to MN can use that list of supporters to know where to avoid spending your $, and hit them where it hurts. Even better if you let them know why, and if you live in those areas, who not to vote for (anyone supporting this kind of nonsense may not be someone that you would want representing you).

Posts: 7105 Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | I do love the wording of their points. To whomever is fighting this group, stop thinking science and fact will win you the day. Those things no longer matter. Better to find a way to make people afraid, make people feel like their tax dollars are getting wasted by the other side, and vilify the others.

Probably flood them with a whole bunch of crap so they lose some of the "real" emails they get in. If there is such a thing. Edited by hunterjoe 12/20/2016 2:35 PM

Posts: 8856 | I think science, logic and reason are probably lost on the fat loud guy at the bar griping that the muskies are eating all the walleyes while he stuffs plate #2 of all you can eat walleye in his face on Friday night... Just sayin'...

Posts: 785 | I like the video of the duck eating musky to demonstrate that muskies eat everything... and it's a pike. I also like the muskie eating a walleye in the Kenora walleye tournament with the caption "What does this tell you about future walleye populations mixed with muskies" when in Lake of the Woods muskies and walleyes have successfully coexisted since the glaciers receded haha. Go on there facebook page for lots of good laughs or if you're a jerk like me comment on the more ridiculous posts

Posts: 221 | MTJ - 12/20/2016 8:07 PM Well, Hackbarth does have a lot more time on his hands this year! Exactly. Key to stopping this is removing opponents from the legislature. That's what needs to be focused on.

Posts: 108 | Some funny comments here...and I appreciate the humor muskie fishermen see in this ridiculous organization...but think about this once...what if you weren't an avid fisherman who understood biology and fisheries management?? That kind of anti-muskie propaganda scares the hell out of the little old ladies who own property on the lake, and they have lots of time for letters and phone calls!! Make no mistake...this is no joke and that organization is continuing their push to eliminate muskie stocking of waters in MN, new and existing. If they get the numbers behind them, politicians will take notice. The Muskie community in MN won a huge battle last fall in MN, but we also lost some smaller battles...this war is not over. I see more political pressure coming in the future. MNDNR, Muskies Inc, and Minnesota Muskie and Pike Alliance have worked so hard for many years to build some of the greatest muskie fishing opportunities on the planet...I hate to see those efforts go to waste!! Posts: 105 Location: Florida | How can anyone dislike Muskies/Pike? These fish are extremely fun to catch and get much bigger than a bass, walleye,or most freshwater gamefish. From my understanding walleye don't fight much for their size, and people target them mostly for food.Muskie/Pike are a much better gamefish than a walleye, guess these people don't understand that. From my understanding walleye don't fight much for their size, and people target them mostly for food.Muskie/Pike are a much better gamefish than a walleye, guess these people don't understand that. I couldn't agree more but for every guy I've introduced to the sport and watched them fall in love with muskies there's another that has zero interest in them. It's kind of a personality thing. Not everyone wants to work for it and some guys care way more about the meat then the experience. Many of these individuals don't want the fish they want to eat getting eaten by something else, ironically. This is where the push back comes from. It's difficult to convince someone that every single study out there supports the fact that muskies do not target walleyes and eat relatively few overall when the angler has the anecdotal evidence of a muskie grabbing a struggling walleye they had hooked some years ago. I also have a hard time not thinking a lot of this stems from lake associations not wanting the increased traffic on "their lake" which is 100% a side effect of muskies being introduced.
