Posts: 5874 | OK, I know this isn't MuskieFirst in the true sense, but I just finished making my 2002 Lund Esox Angler SS into a Salmon Angler SS. I'm almost all set to go, 'cept I gotta get some spoons, along with some Dodgers, Flies, Plugs and Dipsies. Bill Schwartz, how is the fishing on the Big Pond? I need to get together with you to get some of your spoons. Then we need to get Jason, Extreme One, Roy, Worrall together for a Wolf Pack outing or two! I can't wait to hear those reels scream!! Cory Painter, you up for it? Edited by Shep 7/5/2003 9:53 PM Attachments ---------------- Salmon1st.jpg (181KB - 359 downloads) LundAft.jpg (190KB - 295 downloads)

Posts: 5874 | Talked with my neighbor, Doug, last night. He said the best bite has been early. He said to launch by 4:15 AM! Green or white flies behind Green or Pearl Coyote flashers , and M&M spoons have been working. Theedz, call me! Anybody got room in their boat for one more? If so, let me know, or look over on WalleyeFirst, and get in touch with Larry Eaton. SteveW, when are you coming down? Who are you bringing/fishing with? Do you need a place to crash? Jason, what time are you and Bill planning on getting out? Where is Bill's ship docked? Edited by Shep 7/29/2003 8:47 AM

Shep double check your weather report.... Accu weather .com says SW14mph with gusts to 31mph for 8/2/03 with a 29% chance of T-Storms. They have always been the closest in my opinion. I am watching it like a hawk from zip code 53209 Let me know if you hear differently

Posts: 2691 Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | Weather permitting you guys will hammer them. I am going to sheboygan(?) tomarrow with a friend. He has been working close to the launch and watches all the boats as he works. The fishing is great and lots of limits. I will post how and what was working for you guys. I would be with the pack if I didn't have clients on Saturday morning. Have fun boys, I am sure you will stick a pile of fish. Bill is on them or will know how to get them. Those fish just eat until their full, that why the mornings are so good. Have fun, I will be thinking about the pack while working for muskies on Pewaukee. I will call you shep when I get a chance on Saturday.

Posts: 5874 | OK, all set for tomorrow. Up at 3:15, hook up the boat, get the neighbor, Doug, and get to the launch around 4:00AM. Hopefully Theedz will be there, and Cory too! Then, once on the water, give Tuffy, and Bill/Jason a shout on 69, and hit the zone. Let the reels start screaming! Steve, and Extreme One, you're gonna miss a good time!

Posts: 2691 Location: Pewaukee, Wisconsin | Shep you missed a great time today !!! Check out the king in the thread I just put up. The lure hanging from its mouth was the hot bait. Good luck to all!!! I had a blast today and will be out Sunday morning if all goes well Saturday in Mikwaukee for you boys. The fish we caught were in the top 35 foot of water. We fished from 130 to 218. All the fish were caught in the 25 to 35ft depth range. Surprized to see them up so high but not complaining. We never fished Sheboygan before so it was a learning experence. Deep water came quickly up there. 218 was only 4 miles out. Edited by Mikes Extreme 8/1/2003 10:09 PM

Posts: 5874 | The Wolfpack was out today. Well at least a couple of us were. Theedz and my neighbor, Doug, were out in the Salmon Angler SS, and we met Cory and crew at Mckinley at 4:00AM. Headed out on glass water to the fishing grounds north of the main gap. We went 6 for 7, and Cory went 2 for5? Had a great time, and caught some nice fish. Called for Bill/Jason, and Tuffy also, on the radio. Noone answered, so it ended up being a 3 boat pack, including one of Cory's friends. Thanks for coming over Theedz and Cory. Had a blast. Here's some pics of some of the fish. Attachments ---------------- Sunrise King.jpg (197KB - 119 downloads) 2 kings.jpg (135KB - 108 downloads)

Posts: 5874 | Theedz, Doug went out with George and crew Sunday. The went something like 18/21, with several BIG kings! Not sure when I will get out there next. Perhaps Thursday after work. This weekend could be a pain, as they have the Ocean Boat races in the Harbor. Don't know if this will cut off access or not.
