Idea: let's ALL list our top 5-10 rod/reel combos we currently own (no fantasy, if I had all the money in the world I would own...) and what we use them for. Make this a thread to keep pinned for a while to aid those with the consistent question of "what is the best combo for double10s/big rubber/jerks".

Let's hear'em!

TI 10'6"xxh PG Tranx- bucktails (all sizes), big topwater, crankbaits/swimbaits, big rubber. x2 custom built by me
St. Coix Big Nasty HG Tranx- rubber, small bucktails for burning, big phantoms custom built by me
St. Croix Big Nasty Lexa 400H- top water, bucktails, jerkbaits, twitch baits, swimbaits, etc. custom built by me
St. Croix Premiere 8'6" MH Daiwa Saltist 30- general purpose whatever rod, use for trolling as well.
St. Croix Premiere 8'3" MH Calcutta 400b- small stuff, trolling rod as well,
St. Croix Tidemaster Blank 8' H- Spinning rod- Exceler 3500- small jerkbaits, twitch baits, jigs, etc. little stuff... Just built this one to give it a try after watching Hammernick throw 4" phantoms with a spinning rod...seems like a legit plan.
Also have an 8'6" Premiere XXH that I swap in the lineup sometimes for big phantoms custom built by me
St. Croix Avid 7'6" MH sometimes this one gets to play too... little jerkbaits or jigs etc.
I guess I need a few more reels!!!

8'6" Legend Elite Heavy / Revo Toro S - Small Cranks, Twitch, single blade buck tails, glides, small rubber, top water, spinners
9' Tackle Industries Tele XH / Revo Beast HS - Big blades, mag size plastics, bigger cranks, top water
9' Tackle Industries Tele XXH / Revo NACL - Pounder size rubbers
(4) 8' Shimano TDR Heavy 2 piece / Okuma Coldwater 303D - Trolling setup

I want to upgrade the NACL on the pounder setup to a beast or maybe a Lexa just to try something different than ABU.

On deck I have the following. Only thing I ever want to change is swap out the guides for Torzites.

9'8" XH Predator with a 60 Beast in the 4.9 gears for any big stuff, rubber, blades, big cranks. Kept my HG TranX in case I still want speed at times but might sell it.
9'8" H-2 Predator with a 400D for an all around rod. Topwater, cranks, spinnerbaits, slow rolling big blades. Great all around rod. Some say it's good for mag dawgs I think it sucks for that use.
9'8" MH Predator with a curado 300E. Small bucktails, burners, small topwaters, smaller cranks. Can throw any of the same baits with the H-2 but this one is even more comfortable to throw. Sees a ton of use on canada trips.
8'4" XH Predator with NACL 60. Jerkbaits of all styles. Always has a leader with just a snap and a ring no barrel swivel.

Those 4 can do anything I currently do while musky fishing. Planning to learn some creature fishing this year but plan to just experiment with the bass rods I currently own.

9'8" Custom TI XH-2" one piece (built by me). Curado 300ej w/aftermarket power handle. BLADES, Blades, and blades... all shapes and sizes. I throw bucktails probably 75% of the time and this is the combo I use.

9'6" Custom TI XXH one piece (built by me). Curado 300e with power handle. I can and do throw anything in my box with this.

7'6" Custom TI XH one piece w/ micro guides (built by me). Just bought an EXO 300 6.6 for it. Gliders, jerkbaits, topwater. Super light and is a good rod for my wife to use. Also an awesome "take a break" combo.

8'6" Gander XH split grip. Made in Sweden Abu 7000. Trolling/suckers.

8'9" Gander XXH split grip. Made in Sweden Abu 7000. Trolling/sucker rod.

Both trolling/sucker rods are also great backups/loaners fully capable of throwing blades or rubber all day.

10'6" ti XXH with size 50 beast 4.9- new double 8-13 bucktail rod. 180# wire leader

8'6" mojo XH toro NACL 50 5.4- buck tails 8-13's, deep diving cranks 180# wire leader

8'6" mojo heavy NACL NACL 60 6.4- almost exclusively suick but add in a few miny medusas 130# flouro leader, no swivel no snap

8' mojo medium heavy revo winch- almost exclusively spinnerbaits but some meps to single 8 blades. Spring time and taking a break rod 80# flouro leader

8'6 shimono compre (telescopic) NACL 50 6.4- traveling rod, stores at 7'ish. Can use anything but 2# dogs. 180# wire leader

Waiting for the 12'. I have a 20' nitro bass boat that holds 10 musky rods and 20 bass rods at the same time only possible because of "cabellas" brand rod covers, hook guard for all musky and my treble hooked rods for bass rods and "normal" rod covers for the rest. Single handed on of the best investments you can make to store and Protect your rods.

Just want to know how big their boats are to carry all those rods.

I have a mojo 8'6" h. Jerk, crank, anything that's side to side. Curado 300
Just got a smoking deal on 9' h elite. Otherwise would never pay that much on a rod. Bucktail, anything straight cranked. Calcutta 400d
Wife just ordered me a elk river 9' xxh for rubber rod, maybe big blades too. See how I turns out. Elk river makes a really nice product. Tranx pg

Use to have legend nasty, dawg, sling blade.

I have to keep sort of generic multi-purpose setups because I always bring a friend fishing and not many of them have their own gear.

8'6" H Slingblade/Calcutta 300D for 8s, 9s, and topwater - also used for spinnerbaits and gliders
8'6" XH Convergence/Tranx PG for 10s and larger blades mostly
8'6" XH Elitetech/Calcutta 400D for rubber - also used for spinnerbaits, blades, crankbaits, and topwater great all around setup

Two that are mainly for guests:
8'6" XH Volatile/NACL 5.4 for 9s, 10s, crankbaits, rubber
8' H Cabelas Fish Eagle/Curado 300E for spinnerbaits, small bucktails, gliders, topwater

Got a couple Shimano TDRs this year and have one rigged with a Tekota 500LC and the other rigged with a Cabelas Depthmaster I had laying around so I don't have to troll with my casting setups anymore.

Between my dad and I, when we go out we have 6 musky setups, 2 bass setups, and 2 panfish setups, all in a 16'4" alumacraft. Organization is the key to success.

Wow most of the rods and reels listed cost way more than the boat I fish in.

8 xh compre with Calcutta 400d
8-6 xh compre with Lexa 400

I guess being teacher does not pay well but at least I can fish all summer.
