Posts: 400 Location: Wisconsin | I have been in some serious consideration for making a dream musky trip in the next season. Now, I've fished famous lakes, from eagle, to cave run, Green Bay, and lake St Clair. But I have a serious "hit list" that I have been working on, and I'm sure a lot of you do too. My question is, what is your guys dream trip? I'll start by describing mine. My goal is to head up to the Lake of Two Mountians for a week, and to catch a 40# fish. I'd love to head out there in late September, and fish with my two best friends!

Posts: 483 Location: NE PA | I have been to LOTW and it would still be my dream lake. Amazing body of water. As for some place I haven't been... Mille Lacs or Vermillion. Edited by lennyg3 2/27/2016 4:12 PM

Posts: 298 | Always wanted to do a week on Kay, Rowan, or Dryberry in NW Ontario. Logistics keep me on LOTW/Winnipeg River. They are peaceful enough for me and I'm not sure words can describe how much more I like my 1890 than a 14' camp boat without a bow mount. Lennyg3 keep Mille Lacs as a dream as it is the lake of broken dreams and busted equipment! It does have a mystique like no other MN lake though.

Posts: 1425 Location: St. Lawrence River | LOTW!!! Lot of good options. I think it would be a blast to fish Mille Lacs or Vermillion with Ben Olsen or Steve Genson as well. Edited by JakeStCroixSkis 2/24/2016 10:30 AM

Location: Contrarian Island | for me it would be a lake like Lac Seul back in the years that it was 'discovered' by musky fishermen...untouched shield water with more or less no pressure and resorts/cabins....think of being one of the first to fish the NE section of lac seul and if you had the lures and boats we do now.... I am sure there are still a few smaller gems that haven't been hit like that in Ontario... other than that LOTW is a pretty awesome lake even w the pressure it recieves these days

Posts: 72 | Been fishing Dryberry every year for 25 years and I still have St Clair in the back of my head. The horizontal scenery is not the best but looking into to the water there is no better.

Posts: 318 | If I had to pick one it would be LOTW. It would be fun to go to Georgian Bay and fish for those freaks of a fish they catch over there, but I would rather catch more over the course of the week than one huge bite. I know I am probably in the minority there with this group on this site, but hey, to each their own.

Posts: 85 Location: Michigan U.P. | I am still young and nieve in the quest so I will vote for the big waters but there is a lot to what Poiner said. I get to fish a 130 acre lake that has a bunch of mid 30's fish( and I hope a few big girls) and almost every time I have the lake to myself. I love that place and wish it was closer to home.

Posts: 2754 Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | Last week of Sept Canadian flyin - we were only two people on the entire lake for a week...last day rain-snow-sleet-sunshine-rain-snow-sunshine- sleet, repeat all day long - fish were going crazy. 17 in the bag for the week..biggest 51". Lake has much bigger fish by a foot or more. Lakers were up & putting on feed bag too, and they are tasty fried! Warm low fire in the cabin stove w/ pot of laker chowder & warm camp bread to greet us for lunch break..no need for ice for beer...just hang in mesh bag off the dock to keep it from freezing...F&%$* Mike Hoffmann, I miss fishing with you! Have fun! Al Attachments ---------------- ![]()

Posts: 2754 Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | You guys are not fishing where I fish....LOL If you did, you might be like Louie, reaching for your pistol to protect yourself! You really have no clue! Keep fishing, where you're fishing....its the sane thing to do. Did I say they were common? Actually very uncommon and finding them is the hard part...well maybe losing them is the hardest part... sadly you will probably never get that experience. Have fun!
