Posts: 1089 Location: Hayward, WI | I took this picture this morning. There are weed cutters that operate on the lake and this is were they off-load. Do you think the weed cutter killed this fish? Or did it pick up a fish that was already dead? Attachments ---------------- IMG_0950.JPG (148KB - 329 downloads)

Posts: 1638 Location: Minnesota | When did they dump the weeds ? If they just dumped the weeds I would say they picked up a dead fish .if the pile was there for a day or so then who knows

Posts: 8782 | Just goes to show that no matter the time of year there are always fish in the weeds. In answer to your original question: I'd say it was already dead. I would expect that any fish in the weeds at the time of cutting would bug out of there long before it got run over. What do they do with that stuff anyway? Seems like it would make really good compost... Edited by esoxaddict 9/17/2015 12:00 PM

It probably ended up as the special at the local Chinese restaurant.
