Posts: 400 Location: Wisconsin | I am planning a 3-4 day trip next season for my Dad and I to go to LSC. I live in Green Bay, and don't know much about the seasonal influences that make LSC the spot to travel to. So anyone who has much experience on that water, could you recommend which month/season that my Father and I could come and enjoy some good numbers? Is late june/july too early?... should we wait until end of august and early september? Thanks in advance, and tight lines to all this fall!

Posts: 720 | June July August sees great weather and great fishing. Personally in June I jig deep water then cast the lake in the open waters the rest of summer. If you traveling from a distance and obviously want to have a good time, I would pick mid summer over any other time as the lake is shallow and churns up easy but that rarely happens mid summer, and also a variety of techniques work then.. Good luck.

Posts: 1405 Location: Detroit River | Even though every year I catch close to half on my muskies for the year in June on LSC I still prefer to fish in September (my 2nd best month of the season). I'm a small boat fisherman so not having to deal with the pleasure boaters when the weather starts to cool is a much more enjoyable time on the water plus there's less bugs. Posts: 20278 Location: oswego, il | The lake exchanges its water in about 2 days and its average depth of 13ft. No thermocline or turnover.

When does the lake turnover usually if it does The end of October can be good if the weather cooperates. The lake doesn't turnover because there is no thermocline due to the lake being so shallow, plus with all the current flowing through the water is completely replenished about every 7 days or so.
