Location: Lake Tomahawk, WI | Hey Fellas, Headed out again on our annual father-son fishing trip to Rainy Lake. We'll be staying on the US side, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips for next week (will be there June 22-27). Basically looking for patterns for walleye, smallies, and pike. We've been up there the previous 2 years so we have places to start, but I'm putting out a feeler to see if anyone has any info they'd be willing to share about current conditions/patterns. We usually do best from Saginaw Bay and to the east, so will be parking the houseboat in that neck of the lake. Feel free to PM me if you don't want to post on here. Thanks in advance! JS

Location: Lake Tomahawk, WI | Yeah, I've heard the same thing. I think there's a flash flood warning up there today. Anyone have any info on water temps for the east end of the lake? Having a tough time finding anything through Google. JS

Posts: 743 | i went up the same week you are, 5 years ago. trolling 8" and 10" Jakes around reefs/rocks away from shore produced 40" pike every day. talking about reefs that top out at 8 to 15 feet surrounded by deeper water.

Location: Lake Tomahawk, WI | Hey Tom, we hit a good trolling bite for big pike 2 years ago with Jakes, was a lot of fun. Picked up some big walleyes on that pattern too. Hopefully they're out of the bays and on the reefs/points, I enjoy that type of fishing more than the weedy bays. JS

Posts: 17 | They were bass fishing. With the conditions they were dealt they had a good trip. Caught a lot of good smallmouth. But they have been goin for 40+ years

Posts: 32926 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I love that water. Used to absolutely blast big smallmouth and giant pike up there on white spinnerbaits on the reefs and round rock shorelines/points and big twitch baits on the weeds. Walleyes and saugers were easy on the deep humps on leeches.
