| Picked up a 4" long/1 ounce Rat-L-Trap today ,,, any special way to retrieve this lure ?? , or , just reel'em in and do a figure-8 ?? ---- thanksalot ---- jim |

Location: NE PA | spring time rattle bite is just to burn them in. When fishing rattle baits in deep water i sometimes let them sink to the bottom and then use quick snaps of the rod and let it flutter back toward the bottom without letting it settle a second time. |

| I have never caught a fish on a rattletrap in the figure 8, they will hit on the retrieve. Burn them. |

| I use to use them a lot in the Mississippi river when I lived in Brainerd. They worked good, there a loud lure and would echo under the bridges and around concrete loudly and I never burned them back then just a medium paced steady retrieve and then a 8. |
