Got out this weekend to fish in my First IMTT event at spring lake. Had an absolute blast out there. 30 teams and 29 fish boated. Biggest Was Just Over 40 I Believe. Proud to say me and my partner Tony Casto boated 6 muskies that day. Only were able to measure 5 as one was only 25 inches, but none the less came away with a win in our first event. Looking forward to fishing future IMTT events, it's a good group of guys. Fish came on lots of different stuff for us.Fished Sunday on Banner marsh for the first time. Lost one around 35 right at the boat and rose another really nice one pushing 45. Had her in the 8 for a while just couldn't get her to go. Good looking lake and small enough to fish a few laps in a day.

He IMTT is a great organization and one that gives back to youth and the resource. They are heavily involved in the Illinois Muskie Alliance on the board, financially are are represented at every meeting. Good people.

So your the ones that kicked our butts. Says something about the lake and the quality of sticks when you measure 3 fish and don't get in the money on a one day tourney. Congrats and welcome to the imtt!!!!!!!!

Thank you! it was a good day for us, I haven't had six muskies in my boat in one day in quite a while. Had a great time and can't wait til May 17 to get out and compete with the guys up on the fox chain.

Can't believe how many fish were caught with how tough SLN has been since ice out. We could not get anything going the day of the tournament, did alright the day before. Congrats on the win! I was in the tuffy that drove past you, as you were unhooking the shortie. See you at the chain, and todd, sorry but you will be fishing for 3rd place!!

Haha, hey after posting 175 inches and winning Saturday I'd be happy with 2nd place on the chain. How do I register for the fox tournament? as of now on the IMTT site it states that the price is TBA and it doesn't give me the option to add it to my cart and pay to register? Is there someone I should contact?

Goto www.frvmuskie.com in the forum section there is a tournament section. You can register there. I would post the direct link but there is a stupid man operating this smart phone.

Well thanks. I look forward to seeing you guys out there. I should be out the week before to fish for a day or two. I've actually never fished the chain so a practice day is going to be important for me. If you guys are out pre fishing maybe we'll cross paths.
