I am looking to put some reflective tape on some blades and wonder if putting a fine layer of epoxy over to help keep the tape on the blades. Would this throw off how the blade spins? Has anyone tried this before? I havn't seen a windowmaker in person but looks like they do something similar?

IMO; I would not put a thin layer of clearcoat on blade. Maybe just line the outside of the tape with a bit of Superglue. Most times the reflective tape stays on pretty secure.

Thanks for the imput. That sounds like a better idea. I was thinking about it and It would of been real hard not to get bubbles. I will go the super glue route.

I painted the blades with Createx paint and I put several layers of Nu Lustre 55 to protect the paint.

So far, it is very resistant

if you put too much epoxy on the blades, it will affect the action of thin blades.

when I put epoxy on the leaves, I used a foam brush and I give only a very thin layer. I give 4-5 layers of the ways and for the last layer, I heat the epoxy with a heat gun to get a smooth surface.

my bucktail works very well and I have no problem with overweight.
