Hello All, Going to Leech Monday and staying at a resort in Agency Bay. Looking for any help, suggestions, insight from anyone here. Don't have a huge boat to do a lot of far running if the wind picks up but am able to move around if conditions allow it. Thanks to anyone that replies.

The cabbage in Agency bay is always a good place to fish. I also like to fish the inside of the weed line in agency bay this time of the year 6' or 7' fow. If you want to fish rocks go through the channel to tradders bay and head to stony point, its not far and you will find fish on all of the points. You might want to try the bull rushes this time of year as-well.

You ought to hit the bullrushes with an inline buzzbait like a Boogerman. The perch go in there shallow and big guys are right in there too. I'd use cranks and jerkbaits on the rocks too.

Is there large areas with cabbage in agency bay? I was up a few weeks ago and couldn't find any nice patches.. looked in the north west side of bay. Also does anybody know if there is any cabbage left around portage bay? Not looking for exact areas I'm just wondering if there is any large patches. Does it die off later in the summer?

Try just to the north of the Roosevelt Canal- quite a tongue that stretches out into Agency Bay- shallower and ought to have some weeds there.

Finding cabbage is a real challenge in Agency Bay or anywhere I have been. Lots of bullrushes around and not a lot of fish. Need to keep looking

ximuskie,

There is cabbage in Portage Bay on the west side for roughly the south half of the bay. The deeper cabbage dies back first so you'll have to get up on the flat to find it this time of year. All of the weedlines run north=south, some are better than others. Virtually no cabbage at Five Mile Point. Some kind of stringy weed that grows about one to three foot tall was all that grew there this year. Good luck.
